Group of 8 divers stayed at Maria la Gorda for one week. We had the unfortunate instance of one of our members experiencing an "undeserved" DCS hit, requiring an air evac to Havana and 3 chamber rides. He did not exceed his computer's limits but with other circumstances (diarrhea and dehydration) and diving close to the limits created the problem.... more

We stayed in Maria la Gorda for 3 nights in June. We thought the diving and snorkelling were superb. The diving equipment is getting old, and many of the depth guages don't work - check the equipment before bringing it down to the boat, and ask for better gear if you can't read the dials.
