Bonaire has protected their reefs for decades, and it shows. I feel lucky to have experienced snorkeling in their waters!

OK, you go diving - you see the fantastic ocean life and it doesn't get much better than that. But for non-divers or divers traveling with non's - you have to take a day and drive thru Washington National Park - you do need a truck or 4 wheel vehicle though as the roads are quite bumpy - and I... Not much wildlife, lots of cactus and thorn bushes. Pretty beaches. The short road loop is almost too long. This is not a hiking park. One time is enough.

Over 30 years ago Bonaire decided to save its reef and marine animals. It has paid off went diving here and the variety of fish and sealife was amazing!! We also did a tour of the mangroves and saw the flamingo sanctuary. Can’t say enough about the beauty.

I've been lucky enough to dive in numerous countries and locations around the world, and Bonaire is top of my list - easy to get to, affordable, and beautiful. Get your hands on a pickup and a dive guide book, and do all the shore diving you can handle - you'll see such abundant life out here, it's incredible. Definitely... More

This is one of the best dive trips you can go on. Arrange for tanks with a dive outfit, rent a car or truck (trucks are more common), grab a free map and then dive. The dive sites are marked by yellow stones, with the dive site name, along the coastal roads and there is a buoy anchored at each... More

Bonaire is an interesting place. It is truly a desert island. The diving is fantastic. Well marked generally by the bright yellow painted stones--and usally good parking. All of the dive shops have maps of all of the sites on the island. the "shore diving in Bonaire mad easy" is a huge help as well to determine which dive sites... More

It is all about diving freedom. Rent a truck, load it with tanks, drive until you find a yellow stone, park, gear up and…DIVE! That is Bonaire, dive when you want, where you want. The Marine Park is amazing, the diving sites are very well in terms of marine life, if the $25 fee is really going to preserve the... More
