Friend and co- worker of Jacques Cousteau. This unique vessel has a great history as of being used as center for marine biology studies durind the 80's. After coming to Bonaire it became a charter boat wich gives you a lot of variety. Sailing, snorkling, our sundecks and of course this incredible underwater observation deck. The Aquaspace... we took the BBQ afternoon trip. Cpt Ed was replaced by his friend Andre: great Cpt and chef since he prepared food from the BBQ. Host Babette was funny, entertaining and never a bore. The boat has a ' downstairs". Not really glass bottom, but more of a glass space where you can sit ( a bit uncomfortable, but hey....it's... More

During our recent cruise we visited several Caribbean islands and booked excursions everywhere. However, this "Sailing Semi Sub Aqua Space" was the best. The top of the boat is a sailing ship, the bottom a submarine. This allows the viewing of the Bonaire coral reef without getting wet. The corals do not have much colour, they look damaged, but there... More

Aquaspace (and crew) are amazing. We had a great sail along Klein Bonaire enjoying the reef and sealife from below the sea in the observation "pod." Snorkling the 2nd reef was amazing - GREAT visability and calmer waters. Capt Ed and staff treated us amazingly well. Friendly, knowledgable, and very relaxing. If you only have 1 day in Bonaire -... Great week in Bonaire~and our morning trip with Captain Ed was super. He has a wonderful personality-. The vessel is one of a kind-sailing ship with a "submarine" for viewing the underwater reefs in cool air conditioned comfort. The outing includes your drinks, fruit, breakfast cooked onboard, for the morning trip. There is time to snorkel, as well. Be sure... More

Our cruise ship visited Bonaire on March 31. We had arranged our trip by email prior to the cruise. We met them at the end of the pier under a blue tent. Others on our trip just signed up as they left the ship. We had 12 people on the boat. We had a great time. We sailed out to... More

This tour is the best thing to do in Bonaire. Ed and his assistant Jenny gave us a wonderful and enjoyable few hours on a beautiful boat with a "submarine type" glassbottom, from which you could appreciate the island reefs. Then we snorkel for about an hour, and on our way back we enjoyed salmon snacks and cheese sandwiches prepared... More

On a recent Celebrity cruise, we had a stop in Bonaire on Jan.26th and had nothing booked. At port we met with a young fellow who was promoting his Aquaspace 30' aluminum boat with a rich history and he was so likeable that I became sceptical of him and his promises. Much to my surprise - he was a nice... More

The highlight of our trip to Bonaire, and probably our trip to the Caribbean. I picked the ship because it had a glass bottom hull, which gave us the option of staying on the boat if one of us didn't want to snorkel. The cruise was a great way to see Bonaire and Klein Bonaire from the water, and see... More

Took this excursion while in port on a cruise in November '08. We arranged it privately - not available directly from Princess Cruises, at least (shame). Can't say enough about it. Organizer Marcel and the boat's skipper made the 3-hour "cruise" a delight. They know the reefs to go to and where to snorkel. If you don't want to jump... More
