When we arrived at Lac Bay from our cruise ship, we did not want to sit at Sorobon since it was packed so we went over to Jibe City where some tall blond guy who's name begins with G charged my husband $5 a chair. When I walked to the bathroom, I discovered that the chairs were free. My husband... More

It is probably just as well that we didn't discover Jibe City earlier in our holiday or we would have spent most of our time there! We went to Bonaire to snorkel and this is not the place for snorkeling. However it would be fantastic for children as the sea is very shallow and it is possible to walk waist... More

This windsurf school is cool. Lac Bay is soo beautiful. At Sorobon you can rent a beach-bed and eat lunch or dinner. You can windsurf at Jibe city. The sufboards are ready. You just take one. Lessons are possible but because the lake is not very deep it is very easy to practice there.

We had a great time to learn windsurfing here. The lagoon is shallow and is longer than half a mile. The winds are always blowing and towards the shore. So it is safe for everybody. It is pricey if you rent a board by the hour. If I could come back, I would go for a package vaction with board... More

We traveled to Sorobon (Lac Bay) to windsurf. If you're looking for a review of the bar, the beach chairs or the restaurant, then you might want skip this. I will say that the drinks were reasonably priced, the staff was friendly and the crab salad... delicious! That being said, we were there to sail! There are two rental facilities... More

Jibe City is the place on Bonaire to chill out and enjoy a spectacular view of the crystal blue sea. The shallow water and the always present wind makes it the best spot for wind serving, both experienced and beginners. The food menu is ok, not too special, but the view and location make up for that.

Great little place that rents windsurfing equip and kayaks.they sell flip flops, beach clothes, rash guards, sun screen (necessary) and sunglasses. I rented windsurfing gear for beginners for 1 hour and it cost approx $30. Since I paddle board, surf, wakeboard and snowboard I felt I could figure it out without a lesson. This cove is the perfect place for... More

Checked out the scene at Jibe city on vacation a few weeks ago. The kids enjoyed a class then an hour of wind surfing while the parents relaxed on the beach. The bar could not have been closer to all the activity and food was good. Had a blast wading in the water to watch the kids wind surfing. The... More

What an amazing place to windsurf. The staff for the most part is very helpful in getting the right gear. I had taken some lessons prior to going and practiced every day while there. Andy was a great teacher - he does windsurf clinic every year in March. Bert was also a great year-round instructor that works on the island.... More

good selection of boards and sails. you pick your board and bring it to the water. they have attendants to bring you your sail. they can advise you regarding size. sometimes if it is a busy week, you may not get the exact sail you want but most times it works out. biggest issue is on days when wind is...
