“beautiful sands- but thieves lurk at sundown”

Had a beautiful time, ocean and sands are fabulous; that is until we were robbed on beach at sundown, 4 meters from hotel gate. Hotel worker stacking beach chairs nearby didn't even look up from his work as we screamed. Authorities also confessed crime has risen and is not as uncommon as promoted by hotels/tourist industry. spent two days at rockley beach under the hot sun of barbados relaxing and enjoying the warm water of the caribbean sea. lots of parking available with quite a few places to eat in the area.try just grillin a good meal for the price. go to berts bar for a cold brew. lots of souvenir stands selling there wares. an... more

Rockley beack Barbados November 2008 Marrage Blessing on the Beach... I stayed at Magic isle beach appts, the garden gate takes you straight on to the beach. The early morning sunrise is spectacular and walking all the way from one end to the other is a great way to start the day. Locals and holiday makers both mix very well... more
