A great beach for swimming, snorkeling and vrious water sports (paddleboarding, jetski, waterskiing, etc.). It was pretty quiet while I was there. Locals were selling their wares, but were polite and not at all aggressive. No washrooms on this beach unless the bar is open though!

The beach in front of The House Hotel was small but relaxing. Waters were cool. The House shares beach with Tamarind Hotel. cabanas and beach lounges were free. There are vendors on the beach but none were aggressive.

Calm waters, turquoise color. We were able to see sea turtles and other sea creatures. Absolutely amazing. We were also Able to get free wifi at the beach. Had the option to go by bus but decided to be save and took a taxi. Crazy Kat (taxi driver) took care of us, she even took us to a local bar... More

Lovely time here but I prefer the quieter beaches and I may have rated it higher if I was in the mood for people watching, music and hustle bustle. We were guided to sun loungers but, unfortunately they were right in front of where people got on and off boats and hired jet ski. I was hoping for a peaceful... More

Paynes Bay beach is my favourite spot on the island. There is lots to see and do and purchase if you wish. The water was clear, calm, and the beach was clean. There are both locals and tourists so a good feel. Some people selling things but not too many. We could have rented chairs for about 10 US for... More

Love this place. Our favourite beach on the Island, been so many times! Sand and water are just perfect. Great swimming and snorkelling on the reef, so many fish including some rare ones. Can see turtles off the beach if you swim out to the visiting catamarans, just be prepared for a tiring swim back. Ryan does the beach chairs... More

This is a perfect beach setting and also a place to go to meet the local people. This is truly Barbados and you can even go on the bus!

Paynes Bay beach was just perfect. The water was clear, calm, and the beach was clean. Not a lot of people and the locals were nice. I practically had a whole section all to myself. I paid about 10 US for a beach chair with umbrella and the weather was just perfect as well. So sight of Jelly fish, just... More

This beach was just lovely! Not crowded at all and had lovely sand with clear, calm waters to swim in. There were the occasional local selling boat trips etc but were very polite and did not pester you if you weren't interested. Worth walking right around and visiting the small fish market opposite end away from Holetown as it is... More
