Yep.. that warm sea breeze and frolicking amid the rolling azure waves with your boogie board is a good workout, but not for swimming. Beware some of the strong undercurrents adjacent to the cliffs; last year saw a local guy pulled under, dragged out by the high rollers and fortunately resued with haste by 2 of the vigilant lifeguards who... We had been advised to visit Crane Beach - as its down as one of the most beautiful in the world. We asked the security guy at the reception to the Crande Beach resort and he said we could either pay B$50 for access through the resort (you can get redeem this in their restaurant) or get to the beach... This beach is supposed to be one of the top beaches in the world. I wouldn't go that far but it was nice. The sand was full of seaweed that had been washed ashore, but at least I didn't notice any in the water. The sand is very pretty. It was a reddish colour mixed in to give a nice... More

The most beautiful beach. Only disadvantage lift to the beach seems to be inoperable a lot of the time, had elderly parents with us, so unfortunately could not access beach.

Considering this is suppossed to one of the fourth best beaches in the world,we were dissappointed by what we saw when going down onto the beach.Yes it was clean, and large but i prefered the beach which our hotel fronted in the Almond Beach Resort.

Huge waves that turn you inside out - brilliant if you like that sort of thing and I do! Loungers readily available and the sand is nice and clean. You'll be offered and expensive coconut drink by the beach vendors - nice to try once but not something I would wish to repeat....rather have a beer although my wife enjoyed... More

The seaweed has turned this delightful beach into an unattractive one. People were coming down ready to set themselves up on the beach, looking at the seaweed strewn beach and going away.

We got the bus to crane beach to spend the day here. The beach itself was pretty but not spectacular. The waves are really rough, great for body boarding but not for a relaxing swim! Beware of the currents, they can change a drag you out quickly! There is quite a lot of seaweed about too. All in all a... More

Just a lovely setting with a beautiful blue sea. Sun beds available. Need to be staying in the area. We visited from St James and it was about a 40min drive
