Like a beautiful woman Crane beach was love a first sight. Pink sand, fabulous waves, and friendly low key people enjoying a beautiful place. A combination of Crane Resort people, day trippers, and locals enjoy this beach. Enjoy this beach - tan, snooze, people watch - have a glass of wine and a delicious flying fish sandwich at the resort... more

I gotta tell you...some of the reviews here almost made me blow this beach off, and I am very glad I did not as this was one of the highlights of my trip. I had VERY limited time in Barbados, and, since this seemed close to our guest house, we decided to try it on our way home from another... more

Here's the bottom line on Crane Beach - Is it top ten in the world? Probably not. Is it close to top 10 if it isn't in the top 10? Absolutely. Heavily weighing in Crane Beach's favor are its fine-textured sand, width, apparent lack of major erosion, and water visibility. Some believe that the sand is pink, but my sense... more

You have to climb down all these rocks to get to beach. Sand was awful, not soft at all. No facilities - bathrooms, food vendors. It is a nice quiet beach if your looking for that. Very narrow, not much room. Scenery was not worth it. Try another beach, coming from California I would compare our beaches much nicer and... more

We had read a lot of great things about Crane Beach, so after checking out Bridgetown, we took a taxi out there. We had agreed on 15$ one way and when we took off, he asked again for the name and I said Crane. It was a long ride and when we arrived he wanted 35$. After a lot of... more

We have been visiting Crane beach as a beach destination for years and true, it was a little more special when the hotel was tiny and the beach was empty without vendors etc, but it is still an amazing place. The waves are extraordinary and the old staircase down to the beach is still as charming as ever and preferred... more

My husband and I got married at The Crane on May 7, 2008. We stayed at the hotel for one week and we can't wait for the opportunity to go back. Yes there are some construction sites on the grounds but they are not an inconvenience. The rest of the grounds are absolutely beautiful. We had a very relaxing time... more

We went to Crane Beach to see what everyone is calling "one of the best beaches in the world" and it just didn't impress us that much. We didn't stay at the resort, but the resort let us on to the property to see the beach from the pool area (in an effort to sell us a timeshare I'm sure).... more

I have been to many islands in the Carribean and visited Crane Beach this past May 2007 to stay with my Uncle and his family. They have a time share there. My brother and me had a long day of traveling and arrrived late at night. We took a cab from the airport (about $30 US dollars) 20-30 minutes out... more
