Okay

Average place with average shops. No t-shirts or anything, it's more pottery and other nik naks. Not really the type of souvenirs we were looking for.

Like a few people have said yes there are a few shops closed, BUT, if you are looking for beautiful local crafts this is the place, we are so glad we decided to visit rather than go on other reviews! there are atleast 8 nice shops and boutiques still open. We got all of our souveniers and gifts - from... More

What a shame, it looks great, but lots of shops look like they are closed permanently. I didn't take notice of the other reviewers and gave it a go. We wasted our time. It could be great, not sure why it's not better supported

We went to Pelican Craft Center to shop for hand made Barbados souvenirs. Cut shopping area, but unfortunately most of the shops are closed. We did find one shop in this area that was worth the trip....lots of variety and good prices.

This is a great place to check out if you have even 20-30 minutes, but more if you're really into the artwork they have here. They have paintings, sculptures, carvings, jewelry and even crystal work here. I do myself collect small pieces of artwork as I travel and while I didn't get anything this time you never know what kind... More

My boyfriend took me here knowing that I love arts and crafts. I didn't know what to expect. It was fascinating to see some of the crafters handmade work and many are interested in speaking to you about it. Some of the places were closed but you can't expect everything to be open at the same time. This would keep... More

We cannot recall the name of this little shop/market within the craft center area (she sells coconut water and various items), but the woman who ran this specific shop was delightful. I couldn't help but hug her goodbye! Three of us enjoyed lunch here. She had our hearts immediately. Don't be fooled by the little grill behind the counter. Sit... More

Great visit to Barbados but disappointed By shopkeeper at the pelican area very rude and offensive flipped when asked if we could take a photo inside the shop...she stated that we where trying to steal her designs actually told us to get out.... Never cme back ..... So not a good advert for tourism . Did mention it to another... More

This place could be so nice - but so many empty units. Those open didn't have much on show and it is all rather sad. On our visit 3 cruise ships were in port so we assumed it would be busy; definitely not so.

It was not worth the short walk from the cruise port. Its a nice concept, but nothing was open. Most of the shops weren't even occupied. Don't bother.
