If you like greasy fried foods under the disguise of culture and heritage, go for it. I am not impressed. Not one bit.

This is exactly the place I like to see when I travel. Local, full of culture and the food is fantastic. I highly recommend particularly in the evening.

Located just on the outskirt of Bridgetown, the island's capital,... More

Some can argue it needs a face lift.. But I think that will change what it is "supposed to be" . Too many updates may change the landscape and the true taste of Baxter's Road as we know it to be. This is where the locals buy there late night snacks from. Fish/Chicken and Chips. They are many vendors along this stretch with affordable foods. My favourite is the stall over on the Pasture where you're sure to see a long line... here you can get chips, grilled potatoes, king fish, marilyn fish, all different kinds of salads ad drinks to... While on a cruise one port was Barbados which was found to interesting especially the Baxter Road area. The old buildings & shops were full of pleasant helpful locals. There were many cafés & bars to sit, have a drink & people watch. The day here was enjoyable.
