For anyone interested in the history of the island this is an excellent choice, and for anyone looking for something to do on a rainy day. One of the best museums in the Caaribbean with several galleries. This is an old military prison, set on the Garrison Savannah.

This was ok but really aimed at children and schools had to pay which in my opinion should of been free as we were done in almost an hour.

This was a complete waste of time and money. My least favourite place I visited. Exhibits missing, self guided tour and lots of Do Not notices - not very welcoming!

This museum shows you more about the oroginal aboyigineebemigrees from the Indian continent of the Americas then the Caribs and the slave Bajans and how the gradual dvelopment grew amidst the history of the invasions by entrepreneurs and island take overs. It's s smallish place but well worth the visit. You never know what you can learn.

Granted, this is a small island, but it does have a lot of history so it really shouldn't be hard to put together a lot of interesting historical exhibits. I would contrast this museum to History Miami, which is a smallish museum as well but does an outstanding job of both presentation and tangible artefacts and displays. It isn't bad... More

Small and intimate museum. Gives a very good historical look at the island. Special note of the chattel house architecture. These were everywhere and would qualify as "tiny houses" in the new fad driven tiny house movement. They were practical and useful and provided a way for many Bajans to have a home they could call their own.

A modest museum with some very old and somewhat poorly maintained artifacts. Did the self guided tour in about 30 min. Kids lost interest quickly. A short walk for George Washington house and the Hilton hotel.
