This beautiful sand beach is away from the hustle and bustle of some of the beaches and Barbados. There is not much shade, so make sure to bring an umbrella

We live in a villa on Brighton Beach and will be here until March 2015. In my opinion this is one of the best beaches in Barbados for the following reasons: It is close to Bridgetown and to the cruise ship terminal. It is very quiet because the Mailbu beach club has closed. Therefore very few people on the beach,... More

A very peaceful beach within the local community of Bridgetown, not far to walk. Not as nice as many other beaches in Barbados but good if you only have a couple of hours until you have to go back to a Cruise ship...If you want fun I would recommend The Boatyard

A beautiful beach set amongst the local community. We stayed here for 2 weeks and it's was great. The local people use the beach regularly and you don't see many tourists, but to me that was perfect. Lovely people lovely beach. Near the harbour so the sight of the liners leaving on an evening was good as you lay in... More

This beach is located close to the Bridgetown city center. We found out that the easiest way from Black Rock area is to take a mini bus ride to the Chamberlain Bridge, cross the bridge by foot and in about 5min walk you’ll find a gap between the buildings, where you can easily see the sea. Just keep your eyes... More

I walked from the port in Bridgetown to the beach. Round about an hours walk. After you pass the harbour in bridge town towards the beach the area just behind the entrance to the beach is a bit intimidating but once you go past that it is fine the bars on the beach are good and reasonably priced although the... One of the best vacations I've ever had. This is my 2nd trip to Barbados for "crop over"and I plan... More

If you've arrived on a cruise ship, and fancy a modest walk to escape your 3,000 fellow passengers for a while, you can do a lot worse than head for Brighton Beach. Get yourself through the terminal and away from the sea of duty free booze, fags, gold watches, diamond rings and Chinese-made tat and head for town! Some of... More

Very convenient beautiful beach, that goes on about as far as you want to walk. Then head to the Mt Gay Rum tour nearby.
