Fascinating to see the jockeys at their work. We go there everyday for our morning jog. The locals are very welcoming and friendly. Look out for the cafe at the george washington house.

I did not like Barbados at all. The beaches are all public. The pan handlers and beggars bug you all day every day. The beaches were not that nice. The sidewalks are literally falling apart. The food is unusually expensive. I found the downtown area very nasty. The people are rude This is not somewhere that I would recommend.

This is a great way to spend the afternoon and if you don't want to you do not need to spend any money. To get into the grandstand, there is a charge, only a few BBD, however, you are able to watch the races from around the track, which what all of the locals do and does have more atmosphere,... More

Great Fun, cheap bets great afternoon had by all at the races. We wish it was on again before our return home. Just pay on the door, 30$ BDS each for a seat in the stand , $2 bets and $8 for a bottle of Banks. Fun fun fun, if you get the chance go.

Loved the action and seeing horses up close...intend to spend the day...jam packed...so don't expect parking...parade a treat...sat in the grand stand away from sun...tickets pricy.....long line up for toilets and food.....take your own...vendors sell fruit in stands....quite an experience

An amazingly entertaining stroll through the Garrison district with the night tour is more than worth the money. If you are lucky enough to be able to catch this theatrical re-enactment of some local Garrison area stories DO IT. Starting from the Café at George Washington House down to the beach and back through the cemetery the stories from the... More

We had a couple of hours to spare on our last day before heading to the airport so we took the kids along to the races. Good fun, plenty of places to watch from the side without actually paying to go in but we did so they could experience the atmosphere. Very enjoyable and we even won a few Barbadian... More

On the coast road outside Bridgetown is the large open playing field-cum-race course around which are sited the historic military buildings and national museum, overlooked by a line-up of old cannons. Horse races are held on several Saturdays throughout the year, and also big parades. Kite playing is popular at Easter, and kites are for sale for those keen to... More
