This is a great way to spend the afternoon and if you don't want to you do not need to spend any money. To get into the grandstand, there is a charge, only a few BBD, however, you are able to watch the races from around the track, which what all of the locals do and does have more atmosphere,... More

Great Fun, cheap bets great afternoon had by all at the races. We wish it was on again before our return home. Just pay on the door, 30$ BDS each for a seat in the stand , $2 bets and $8 for a bottle of Banks. Fun fun fun, if you get the chance go.

An amazingly entertaining stroll through the Garrison district with the night tour is more than worth the money. If you are lucky enough to be able to catch this theatrical re-enactment of some local Garrison area stories DO IT. Starting from the Café at George Washington House down to the beach and back through the cemetery the stories from the... More

We had a couple of hours to spare on our last day before heading to the airport so we took the kids along to the races. Good fun, plenty of places to watch from the side without actually paying to go in but we did so they could experience the atmosphere. Very enjoyable and we even won a few Barbadian... More

On the coast road outside Bridgetown is the large open playing field-cum-race course around which are sited the historic military buildings and national museum, overlooked by a line-up of old cannons. Horse races are held on several Saturdays throughout the year, and also big parades. Kite playing is popular at Easter, and kites are for sale for those keen to... More

We went wandering around the Garrison area while waiting to check into our hotel, that was just a few minutes away. We would have loved to see the races, the whole set up looks like fun, but there weren't any in the days we spent in the area. It was also very interesting to look at the military buildings and... We've been there twice now and enjoyed ourselves. The races are 30 minutes apart and you can place your bets right after you see the horses being led around the ring. Betting is cheap, food is cheap, beer a little less cheap. There are vendors selling bags of peanuts in the shell. $10 Bajan entrance fee to sit in the... More

heard about the races on Saturday afternoons and decided to visit. Easy parking (free) under trees round the course and reasonable entrance fee of £7. Drinks dirt cheap but food selection poor and not the best quality. I think y oh can pay £33 to watch the races from the members rooms and that includes a free lunch. That might... More
