We were planning to go to Oistins for the Friday night Fish Fry, so we drove to Enterprise Beach. Lots of parking spots nearby, beach chair and umbrellas for rent, picnic tables, snacks, drinks. Fine sand, trees close by for some shade at midday; the water was clear until the afternoon, when the waves started bringing in some algae; not... More

This beach is the least commercialised beach on the south coast..any further down to dover and you're in tourist central.. thats not where i wanted to be. We lived in Barbados from 94~97 and this was a favourite beach then.. and it still is 15 years later. beautifully kept, clean tidy.. a great way to spend a few hours just... More

A hidden gem close to the fishing town of Oistens. The sand is white and soft. The ocean is briliant blue, sparkling and clear. There is a cafe available, chairs, deckchairs and pleasant trees from which to shelter from the sun. A really beautiful beach, no mossies. Pack a picnic and stay there the day its really lovely. An "off the beaten path" kind of a beach with NO major hotels in the area, therefore very intimate and with few tourists if that's what you prefer. Loads of shade from the Casuarina trees make a hot day cool, and the "lagoon" area (to the right of the lifeguard hut) is almost always as calm as a swimming pool,... More

It is nice to have the cover of the casuarina trees to escape the sun. There are two parts to this beach...one is more calm and near the lifeguard hut. Parents, swells are often calm, but then suddenly get a little big. PLEASE be with your kids here. Great sand beach for building sand castles. Mr. Deliscious has a decent... More

If you are on the southern coast of Barbados and can get to the Oistins area you will find the beach where the locals go for Sunday picnics and swimming. It is perhaps the calmest water around and you'll find lots of kids as well as adults there on weekends, but during the week you might be one of the... More

Enterprise ( a name which we and many locals prefer to the rather artificial Miami Baech) is a great place to go. Although has always been popular with the locals, it is known by an increasing number of visitors too. The main beach is long, wide and covered with lovely white sand, backed by trees which give welcome shade, although... More

Just like the name announces, Miami Beach is more than just a beach with a familiar name. Beach for the day or an hour, you will leave with the same impression. More

Have been 2x times to Oistins area, in part because of this great beach and reasonable rental apts/houses in the area. I like the mix of tourists and locals, and proximity to w.c. and shower, as well as refreshments. The shade is great for reading and relazing, the waters calm for swimming and soaking. This is also a great little... More
