We visited this church as part of a tour to Bathsheba Beach. Lovely location on the top of the hill with an ocean view. Old cemetery part of the church property. Wouldn't drive the distance from town to see it but nice add-on when doing a trip to Bathsheba Beach. Has drinks available and restrooms.

Barbados has many old English Church & St Johns is typical, you could be at home on a Sunday morning going to church before playing cricket in the afternoon. Many of the graves give an indication of past slavery & history of the empire days.

The parish along with St. George, was carved out of St. Michael in 1640–1641. But successive churches were badly damaged by the hurricane of 1675, the Great Hurricane of 1780,... More

Our tour guide made a stop here as we drove around the island and we were glad he did. The church just exudes history from its beautifully architecturally rich exterior, to its old wooden pews, to the magnificent pulpit. Then step outside to enjoy the great view of the Atlantic from the side or rear of the property high atop... More

As part of a day tour we stopped at St john's. The setting is beautiful high on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The church is beautiful and full of history. Behind it is a cemetary with some historic tombs
