have visited the caves previously when it was more rustic , 8 years later i see the disney consultants are at work here , it was rushed and the staff were clearly not received customer service training. dont bother over priced $100 barbados ( £30) for literally an half hour tour for 2 adults and 1 child more

We found that Harrison's Caves were disappointing due to the fact that it wasn't as natural as we were expecting. They had an electric train that transported us around via a man made road through the cave. It was slightly disorganised and quite pricey. I can think of better ways to spend $110 (barbados dollars). more

Harrison's Cave is a 3 mile long subterranean cave with stalactites and stalagmites and an underground stream and waterfall. Tours of the cave are government run, and a new tram of people are taken into the cave about every 15 minutes are so. You see 1 mile of the cave, mostly driving along the tram although there are 2 stops... more

We were on an RCI cruise Feb. 7-14, 2009 and after a lot of research and concerns I had with other tours, I booked the RCI excursion: 4 x 4 Island Safari & Harrisons Cave - BB90, before we left home. There was so much to see and do on Barbados and there were so many reviews recommending all kinds... more

depending on your taste of sight seeing, I feel it was a love or hate thing... for me I would have loved to see it in its natural state. Getting there - not the easiest (if your driving your self), some spots you'll see signs, you'll get there eventually. The maps they have around arnt very correct. Parking - very... more

Went to this in mid-September, was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The cave system is really beautiful and HUGE. You really have no idea how large it is until about midway through the tour. If you go be prepared that at one point they will stop the tour and turn off all the lights to give a... more

A very good experience! The guide was funny and very informative. the cave its self was spectacular! very good mood lighting and the trams are pretty new and spacious (seats 4 each) It's quite a bit out of the beaten track, so i would recommend booking through your hotel or travel rep as they provide travel to and from. It... more

We first tried to get in on a Thursday afternoon to be told that it was fully booked and also booked out on the Friday. We managed to reserve a slot early on the Saturday morning. A lot of organised tours visit and make block bookings so if you are making your own trip it may be worth a phone... more

Harrison's Cave is a great site (not the largest or most impressive cave I've ever seen) - but in combination with it training locals in learning new skills (leading tours, etc) - I highly recommend this attraction. You ride a tram through the cave and you can get up and walk twice and take close up looks of different parts... more

Harrisons Caves has to be the number 1 tourist attraction in Barbados, a little unkown fact is that Barbados is riddled with caves, and sadly last year a complete house totally dissapeared overnight into a cave below, but have no fear the Harrisson's Caves have undergone numerous structrual surveys overs the years. they have an electial trolley train which takes... more
