We took the local bus (trying to be good and reduce our carbon footprint, and save over $200! compared to organized trips) from Bridgetown with the intention of visiting Harrisons Caves, but it was closed. So we stayed on the bus and called in at Welchmans Hall Gully, which is just a few stops away. We enjoyed the gardens there... more

The flower forest is just a short drive from Bridgetown. It is a beautiful place to vist. You can go for a short 40 minute walk or spend the whole day. The cafe is very good value and the staff friendly and warm. There is a gift shop, but it was closed the day we visited, it did look inviting... more
Flower Forest is beautifully maintained with many unusual plants, trees and shrubs from around the world. You can take as long as you want to wander along the paths and the shade provided by the trees provides a welcome relief from the sun. Refreshments and gifts can be purchased here and rest rooms are provided. Well worth a visit. more
