Lovely little racecourse, some decent races. Plenty of seats, dont need to buy a VIP ticket because all you get extra is a cupholder on your seat. Takes a bit longer to put bets on than usual, bit more laid back. Seats are so close to the track made it very exciting

Great walk through some historical sights in Barbados. You get an old world feel to the place as you see some of the older buildings. Its an easy walk and a great way to take a break from the beach. Make sure to hydrate, for it can get warm walking around!

We were treated to the changing of the guard on arrival. A true piece of the Empire kept for the good. Overlooking the open racecourse a little piece of England

We did not win very much, but we had a great afternoon at the races. There were 8 races on the card, with quality riding and keen competition. we sat in the main stand at a cost of B$20 each. A cushion would be useful, but very good value. Refreshments are available. Placing a bet was easy and pay-outs efficient,... More

What a great tour! This is an extremely comprehensive and interesting tour of historic sites in the Barbados Garrison area. It combines a 3-hour mix of gentle walking and short bus rides between sites led by informative avid historians. It includes a documentary film of George Washington's stay in Barbados and the links thus formed between the US Revolutionary ideas... More

Went to the Boxing Day races - great fun! There are plenty of options to sit in different areas - I actually stood the whole time because the seats were sold out, but I liked it better that way, as I went right up to the fence and was extremely close to the race (and took some fantastic photos!). You... More

We visited here twice, the first time was to walk around to see the buildings & 3 museums and the second time was to see the ‘changing of the sentry’ & the horse racing on the 16th of November, as we were staying across the road at the Savannah Beach hotel (about a minute’s walk away to the left of... Went here on a whim to see the changing of the guard and generally look around. The locals from the Armed Forces Institute were extremely friendly and welcoming, the changing of the guard was pleasant and nearby are plenty of historic buildings to look around. After the guard change there were a few local stalls making / selling food. This... More
