This is the best preserved fortification on Bermuda by far. It is a little out of the way (take the ferry from the Dockyard to St. George's and then the shuttle from King's Square), but worth the visit to see the evolution of cannons and fortification on Bermuda.

It over looks two beaches. The St. Catherine beach and the Achilles beach. St. Catherine's beach is basically for the locals but the water is nicer there than at the Achilles beach.

I am not a big fan of touring old forts....but I did like the ocean view! Lots of canons, etc. I am certain many would find this an interesting stop.

We went to St Georges and attempted to visit the fort but it was closed on Sunday. IT looks like a very interesting place to visit and even just wandering around the outside of it gave lovely views of the area.

There is a free shuttle bus to Ft. St. Catherine from the Town Square area. The driver is very personable. The Fort is gorgeous and so well marked. You know exactly what you are viewing. The views of the water are magnificent. We spent about 90 minutes there. Absolutely worth the time!

Our whole family really enoyed our visit to this rustic site. A bit off the beaten path and you're likely to miss it unless you're staying in St George or happen to visit that end of the island. Not nearly as crowded or comercialized as the Dockyard, the Fort is a great spot to include if you decide to spend... More

Another beautiful fort in Bermuda. So much history and so clean. The grounds are full of flowers and grass and look out into the most blue water.

Fort St. Catherine is a great place to visit for anyone interested in Bermuda's naval/military history. The museum has been recently renovated with plenty to offer, if you're lucky you might even witness a firing of the canons! Amazing views and an neighbouring beach!

This is worth the hike but actually not all that exciting. It's pumped up to be more than it really is - I enjoyed the exhibits and it's location. It really is a nice little museum.

According to the UNESCO World Heritage website, the fortifications of Bermuda are part of the The Town of St. George designation as a UNESCO site. Fort St. Catherine is only a 5-minute drive from the Town of St. George, and we took a taxi from Kings Square, which was waiting at a taxi stand just outside of the White Horse... More
