On a recommendation from a local we met the night before, we take a morning walk to Tobacco Bay from our hotel about a half hour away. Although we did not go in the water, we did find the scenery to be nice and relaxing. The water was clear and beautiful with the beach inside of a natural protected area.... More

I trekked across the island to see this place, heard it had excellent snorkelling. It did have beautiful, shallow water to snorkel in and it was protected. But that's where the good review ends for me. The bathrooms were disgusting...I don't mean a little dirty or sandy/water on the floor...I mean absolutely disgusting, horrible stench, not one clean toilet and... More

This was the best spot to snorkel on my trip to Bermuda in October. The water there is protected against the waves and has lots of spots the fish like to be. I saw many varieties including large Parrot Fish. The water was very clean and calm. A local told me she swims there everyday and the water is always... More

This was a small beach with very calm water. Definitely a great beach for kids. I did go snorkeling and saw some small fish, but not many. Still fun to explore. The food was great at the little bar/food place - great to order and sit outside overlooking the ocean. I would have given a higher score, but the bathrooms... More

Small little quaint beach with magnificent rock formations - no a lot of sealife I see ..you have to search but enough to have fun. Loved the hospitality at the food bar. Very picturesque.

I have been a regular vacationer in Bermuda for the past 20 years. On the other side of St. George's, there is a beach and picnic area entitled Tobacco Bay. This beach provides some of the finest snorkeling in the world, with unbelievable crystal clear turquoise water and an abundance of some of the most colorful fish species anyone has... More

Tobacco Bay Beach has great history behind it. The beach is located in St. George. Most of the beach is enclosed by rocks so its protected from the ocean. It's great for snorkeling. The beach is a full service beach (bathrooms, food, drinks, snorkel rental, chair and umbrella rental). This beach is also walking distance from St. Catherine's Beach and... More

Spent an amazing day on the beach here! Good sand, decent snorkelling, even though the waves in most other places were too rough for any decent swimming or snorkelling on this day, tobacco bay was the place to be! Even though the Breakaway was in port and some of the clientele had made their way to Tobacco the beach still... More

My husband, daughter and I had a lovely afternoon snorkelling (which was excellent) and sitting on the beach, we thought being bank holiday weekend it would be very busy but it wasn't which was very nice. The beach and surroundings are beautiful, but thought someone who worked in the beach bar could maybe have gone round and cleared up some... More

A great place to snorkel or even go for a nice swim. This was a very calm beach. there were not many people there. Very secluded location, but worth the walk.
