Fabulous little beach tucked away behind the more popular but far too busy Tobacco Bay beach. Stop in at the restaurant and then head down to the beach. Beach side bar provides great Dark & Stormy's plus food from the restaurant (beach-side)..... fabulous find.

The beach alone is a slice of paradise! Quiet, very few people, picture perfect plus, the Beach House Restaurant, ,the staff, Pierro, the owner/ Chef also at Griffins Restaurant in The St, Georges Club, makes it an experience you will never forget. From the Lobster roll served just by the water, the cold beer , the Espresso, and several other... More

Achilles beach faces north so is best when calm and when winds are from S. it is tiny and is shared / part of the St George Club (it seems) so there is a small beach bar and facility to rent chairs or basic boards / equipment. we didn't use either. snorkelling is good out and around to the right... After going to Fort St. Catherine, we went to St. Catherine's beach and changed, then came over to Achilles Bay Beach. There is a concrete staircase to get to the bottom. There is a small bar down there with some music playing and decent snorkeling if you head out a bit. There are also rocks with stairs if you want... More

We started the day by touring the adjacent fort. Next was Achilles Bay. It is a beautiful spot! To our disappointment there was an ocean storm and high winds. The wind was blowing right at the beach creating heavy surf. Having kids with us that wanted to snorkel, we opted to walk next door to Tobacco Bay Beach. It was... More

We stumbled upon this beach when visiting the Fort. If you are atop hill at the fort looking down you'll see 2 beaches. The beach on the right while looks more open (and I think has rentals and a cute little shack to change in (literally a curtain) which we used but opted for this beach because it looked way... More

Achilles Bay Beach is very small, it is mainly for the guests staying at St. George Club. The good thing is that it is one minute walking distance from St. Catherine's Beach which is bigger and very nice, also three minutes walking distance to Tobacco Beach. So if you are visiting St. George, it worth to see all three.

A lovely little cove with sun loungers and umbrellas. A tiny little bar area which serves soft drinks but think you can get other drinks brought down from the main restaurant area. good swimming area expecially for kids. a lovely view to watch the cruise ships leave as they come so close you feel as if you could touch them.

Achilles Bay is between Tobacco Bay and Fort St. Catherine, so if you have a day to spend in St. George, you can easily see two or even all three of these attractions. It's a nice spot that isn't as dramatic as Tobacco Bay, but is more secluded and potentially less crowded. There are no facilities here, so you might... More

This is a small beach accessed by a flight of stairs next to Fort St. Catherine, but not worth staying as there were lots of newly broken shards of glass on the beach. There are some loungers there but not sure if they needed to be rented.
