My husband and I planned our vacation to Bermuda after much consideration of islands in the Caribbean and elsewhere. We wanted peace, quiet and tranquility. John Smith is the least crowded of the public beaches on the south shore. The waves are rough, though. It is easy to get to even if you don't have a scooter: the bus stops right by the beach. More

Just got back from Bermuda and visited many of the beaches including John Smith's Bay. It's true that Warwick, Horseshoe Bay, and Elbow Beach are stunning. We went here one day last month when Warwick Long Bay was overrun with Portuguese Man of War. We saw only one at this beach. It is small and right off the road, but nice.
