The views and buildings take you back to a previous time and its worth visiting to find out a bit more about how things were in the time.

We visited the Nelsons Dockyard on an Antiguan Island tour and the History , preservation and STUNNING views are a MUST SEE for anyone visiting the beautiful Island of Antigua. Whilst we were there the Yachts were in for the Antigua sailing Regatta so lost of colour ans activities going on. Don,t forget to have a beer or meal so... More

You have to like maritime history, if you do, make sure that you go. Wear comfortable shoes, and don't miss the trails like I did

Had visited here a couple of times in the past. The place was alive with boats and crews from all over the world. The history of the place is still there but gets a little lost in the hustle and bustle of the event..

Not a huge amount to see in the dockyard itself (there are a fair few shops in the restored buildings, but nice place to wander), but the ticket does give you access to shirley heights (a drive distance) and the fort (a short walk). My only gripe was the 'vendors' section just inside the front door, you get asked by... More

Great food at Admiral's Inn, friendly service. Lots to see and learn about. Family friendly, and photo opportunities galore! Loved learning more about Antigua's past, and it was great to see this historical site so well preserved.

It is a very pleasant restored area of the old Royal Navy Dockyard, with shops, bars, restaurants and good looking yachts in the harbour. In itself it is a relaxing place but with a couple of the excellent rum punches inside it is a truly relaxing place.

Well worth the visit not only because of historical significance but it's old world mystique and fine walkabout opportunities. Food and drink establishments availble but especially for racing week there is a party atmostphere. Quite safe and family friendly.

Loved the feel of the place. Good food and drinks, all kinds of services for the visiting yachts, classic old world feel.
