It is located high up an Antigua hill with beautiful panoramic view of coastline and land below. Sunday is island party, it cost $20 to get in. Rum punch is nice. Food is delicious but a bit pricey. During the week its free to visit to check out the view and have lunch. Some local crafts are on sale.

We had the pleasure of paying 8 us dollars each to get access to Shirley Heights. What was there? A band ( who pretty much looked bored)' some pedlars and a couple of bars and fairly expensive food. The view was ok. But not special and we lasted less than half an hour. Just not for us I guess and... More

Visited Shirley Heights twice during our honeymoon. Once in the day and for the weekly party on a Sunday evening. If you can visit in the day to take in the sights then I fully recommend that. As the excursions for the sunday evening do not leave that early and of course it is very busy on the Sunday evening... More

The view from Shirley Heights at sunset is outstanding. I would highly recommend visiting this on a Sunday evening. There was a steel band playing and refreshments are available. Souvenirs are available to purchase, but it's a bit tacky - definitely caters for tourists!

We were told that Sunday evening at Shirley Heights is a must in Angtigua, so we took the trip. We drove our own car and found it pretty easy to find. If you get lost just stop and ask someone on the road, everyone knows where it is. We were there on the off season, so the crowd was good... More

Although this is clearly a tourist attraction the whole experience is awesome! The traditional steel band and the rum punch combined with the fresh BBQ food is brilliant. Most of all the view across English Harbour is the best. The whole evening is a blast if you can remember much with the generous measures if rum!

If you like a rum punch, listening to great music and having a dance then get to Shirley Heights for the Sunday bash....we would have wanted to stay longer but had a pre-booked taxi to find.

Great view to see the sunset, you have to go to the bar to get your BBQ food voucher. Then have to wait in a long queue to get your food & find somewhere to sit. Great reggae band followed by an amazing singer to dance the night away. We went for 3 hours and found this enough time

We visited both during the day and went back during the evening. We went during the day as part of our Nelson's Dockyard tour. The views were amazing and it was a perfect day. There are places to get a drink and snacks. I think it's the highest point on the island. Great photo ops as the dock and harbour... More

We toured Antigua by rental car (thank heavens for the GPS) and stopped at Shirley Heights. The admission fee of $8US includes Shirley Heights, the Block house, the interpretive centre all at the top of the mountains and Nelson's dockyard down at the harbour. There is a 15minute show at the interpretive centre (in the air conditioning) which tells about... More
