Great trip/service, but the ferry ride over can be rocky - be sure to pack your motion sickness pills! Alix did a fantastic tour of the island for us, and the Frigate Bird Sanctuary is a marvel. Also, the lobster lunch on the beach was delicious. A must-do!

Trip was expensive at @ 150 each. Nothing on the beach but the sand and the ocean. No where to hide from the sun.

After reading such mixed reviews on the Barbuda Express trip, we thought about the reason we wanted to go. Realizing that trip was not going to be about luxury, we decided to give it a shot. We missed out on the opportunity to take the Excellence over from Antigua, but it worked out okay because the reason we wanted to... More

We tried to go to Barbuda but for our disappointment the ferry was not running, for the whole week we were there it went out 2 days and we had other scheduled activities so we couldn't go. It was broken (we were told) but I wonder if it is not high season how often it leaves St.John's

Ferry ride was quoted to be 1.5 hours..it was at least 2. If you didn't bring water or anything else to drink on the ride, you had to buy their water or soda. VERY expensive. No comforts what so ever on the ferry, but the ride was enjoyable out on the ocean while I listened to my ipod. The music... More

Brochure shows wonderfully pink sand beach, beachside bar & grill that serves lobster. Barbuda Express $95.00 per person Boat is old, crew unfriendly, late to depart, arrive at Barbuda- view of an earth mover and rusted out vehicles. 5-7 so-called taxis waiting to attack. Ended up crammed in an extended S-10 type vehicle my husband, myself and another couple. Taxi... More

Choppy ride to get there. So what? Not always, I imagine. Eat well before the trip, relax, focus on the horizon and think about, if you had a bar on the beach, what events would you have to make it the best place to check out. It passes the time. Also thoughts about being a superhero is helpful. Fred (the... More

The ferry is not plush or very comfortable and the crossing takes 2 hours each way, not the 11/2 hours usually quoted. There isn't a lot to do on Barbuda, but the beaches are beautiful and our guide was very helpful.

we visited Antigua and Barbuda in January for my 50th Birthday. We loved every minute of our trip on The Barbuda Express...The ride was wonderful, the crew was nice and the Island of Barb ida was more beautiful than we even imagined. We had a great lunch at Uncle Ruddy's. I will go back and hope to stay at North... More
