We went to this beach whilst our cruise ship was docked. What a beautiful place, white sandy beach with a beautiful blue sea. Beach chairs and shades where available for $10 but that was nothing. We didn't even get bothered with people selling stuff which made a wonderful change. The people are also lovely, would recommend with out a doubt.

We visited in June of 2015. While visibly beautiful, the odor of horse droppings is overbearing even though the area for the horses is designated. The restaurant, said to be updated, must have been a total shack before. I would not eat there. We stayed all of 15 minutes before calling the taxi to return for us.

Whoever gave this beach less than 5 stars, must be very picky, and looking for negatives. We were here for a second time. Cruising with Royal Caribbean. Short cab ride from an independent driver, who came back right on time to drive us back to port. The beach is clean, calm and beautiful. Uncrowded, and quiet. There is a company... More

Where to begin... first, it is close to the cruise port. So, if you want a quiet day on one of the most beautiful beaches you've ever seen, then you cannot go wrong here. Cab will drop you off at the bar. You can rent chairs and an umbrella and get a complimentary "rum punch" at the bar. Set up... More

This was one of our two choices for beach walks. The sand is fine (as are most Antigua beaches) and most days it was almost empty since there are no adjacent resort hotels. (On a few occasions when there were a large number of cruise ships in the St Johns harbor it appeared that some boats had arranged transportation to... More

After reading wonderful things about this beach, we decided to drive there. Left the car at the north end and walked to the south end where the services and the best swimming are. Yes, it looks beatiful. Yes, the beach near the restaurant is clean. But the rest of the beach smells awful because of the horse droppings. A local... More

In front of the Mystic Bar and Grill we were set with some beach chairs and enjoyed the music coming from the bar. The food smelled incredible, although we were not there at meal time. The beach was somewhat private and quiet, aside from the occasional helicopter landing or taking off. The water was incredible and the views amazing. Far... More

I don't understand how this place could get any bad reviews! I visited it in 2010 and then again in 2011 and it is my favourite place on Earth! The first year it was just me and my mum and we both felt really comfortable being there alone. The sand was gorgeous and the water was so clear! No there... More

If you enjoy a relaxing day at the beach away from the noise and crowds of the more popular beaches this is your spot. I rented a condo "Barrymore Beach Apartments" on the beach with my kids and girlfriend for 4 days. During my time i don't think i seen more than 3 or 4 other people on the beach.... More
