Me and my partner asked one of the locals where a nice beach was and the lady in the shop recommended dickinsons bay, she was not wrong! It was beautiful! It was next to a sandles resort. We set up camp near the bar on the beach and couldn't have been happier! The taxi at the cruise terminal came and... More

St. Johns Antigua Is only 108 sq miles. Apparently it has 365 sandy beaches or 366. The jury's still out. Having Dock from the RC ship we headed to Heritage Quay. Initially we were thinking of doing a taxi ride around the island which would have been US 80 dollars. But we wanted to be among the locals. So we... More

We were cruising onboard the Jewel Of The Seas. Based on the Trip Advisor reviews I decided that this would be an excellent beach to spend the day at while docked in Antigua. I was looking for a beach that would be a short drive from the port. This was a quick and inexpensive taxi ride away. This beach is... More

While in Antigua we had asked to be taken to Runaway Bay (which we did see and was also beautiful) but our taxi cab driver took us to Dickenson Bay instead (that seems to be a common practice on a lot of the islands). Anyway....we were so happy we ended up there. It was amazing. The sand was so soft... More

This is the beach next to the 5 star Sandels hotel. As all beaches in Antigua belong to the people they can't stop you using the beach. It's a really beautiful long beach that has crystal clear shallow sea. If you want to jet ski or take a boat ride there are plenty of options. Say hello to George Patrick... More

Calm and quiet beach. Great to have some short walks and relax. Just a little far from the Port and Downtown. You need to take a cab.

We stopped here for the day off our cruise and we decided to go all the way to the left of the beach where there was nobody all morning. It was a very peaceful beach with calm water, perfect for little kids. We would definitely be back here!

It can be overwhelming trying to find a great beach to spend the day, especially if you are on a cruise ship and only get one chance. We ended up in Dickenson after we decided to share a taxi cab with some fellow cruisers. It was a hard decision because Antiqua has so many beach options. Dickenson is very close... More
