Our initial visit to the beach was to try to windsurf as we had been made aware that Tony's Watersports were based there, which they are. Sadly for me the windsurfing gear was all packed away as the 'season; had finished but it didn't spoil our enjoyment of this super beach. The water wasn't quite as clear as the beach... More

We fancied venturing out to a different beach and picked Dickenson Bay as it was close to the hotel. The water is incredible - we turned left as you get onto the beach so away from Sandals and Halycon guests. It's a beautiful stretch of beach with some lovely little coves and quieter areas. We had food and drink at... More

When disembarking from our cruise ship, they had several officers walking around, making sure all the tourists were fine. I asked one of them, what beach he would recommend, and he said Dickenson Bay. There is a beach close to the cruise ship terminal, but he stated that it has some secluded areas, that may not be so safe. We... More

Just a wonderful place, just how a postcard holiday should be, look and feel. Only downside is sandals, but cannot win them all.

Stopped off whilst on cruise, the beach was white sand, the water was shallow and warm, the drinks were reasonable and nobody badgered you to buy things. The main town itself was compact but full of nice shops for the wife to spend my money, ( how many pairs of shoes and handbags does a woman need ). All in... More

Upon jet skiing the day previous I went to jet Ski at Dickenson Bay again the following day, unfortunately 'Tony’s water sports’ had an hour waiting time so I went to Sneaky Pete's instead - big mistake - the guy who took the money and gave me the life jacket was terrified of his boss, I went out for 25minutes... We came here on a trip from P&O's Adonia Its a small area with sunbeds and a restaurant that is reasonably priced it has a beach bar. The staff here are very pleasant, the beach is clean the water is clear and not deep so you can walk easily into the water if you are a non- swimmer. When our... More

Unless you are staying in an all inclusive resort here I wouldn't visit this beach more than once. Pretty much all amenities are for all inclusive guests and if you are not you can access them, not even paying. The Sandals ocupies more than 3/4 of this beach, leaving a little to another resort there and a couple of restaurants.... More

After checking other beaches on the island came to conclusion that the "close-to-home-one" - Dickenson - is really the best .
