We took a ferry from St Martin for the day to Anguilla and spent our morning and afternoon at Shoal Bay. It was undoubtedly the most beautiful beach I have ever seen, amazing turquoise water and the softest white sand! There were only several other people out on the beach, a few more came out as the afternoon progressed but... More

We visited Anguilla at the beginning of the low season in mid-April. Between our timing and the economy, there weren't many people there so we had the beaches practically to ourselves (and didn't bump into one person while snorkeling). The water is crystal clear and the white sand, dazzling. No matter where you enter the beach you can rent an... More

We stayed at Shoal Bay in May 12 on the far east side next to Gwen's Reggae...beautiful white sand beach with a short walk to a few beach bars serving food and drinks. Not too commercialized which is great for privacy and low key factor...do wish there were a few more high end restaurant choices on the beach. Otherwise, fantastic... More

We shot a video about Anguilla a few years ago, and thought the trip advisor viewers would appreciate seeing it. Let me know what you think. http://youtu.be/Z2Cweee9vJM More

I've been to the caribbean over a dozen times. I love to scuba and snorkel and eat and drink. This beach has it all and it is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL beach anywhere. It's nice and quiet with several good restaurants right on the beach. Make a point of going to Gwens Reggae bar for lunch. We stayed at Shoal Bay... More

No beach in anguilla is ever "busy" but this one has several hotels and villas adjoining. Lots of small bars and restaurants, underwater boat trips, snorkeling etc. Better at one end for small children swimming. the beach tends to shelve quite quicklyl. More
