This beach is beautiful , the water is clear and waves so calm. I had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back.

As other beaches at Anguilla, this is a beautiful place. However, the snorkling experience was propably better before. I saw some fish, but as for many places in this area, corals are dead and the fishes are therefore diappearing. You must search for good places to eat, do not take the first place.

It's clear how this beach made it to the #1 slot for best beach in the world. The color of the water is simply amazing! It wasn't crowded at all which blows me away. There are several restaurants on the beach where you can grab a quick bite and hang out in some beach chairs. I didn't notice a lot... More

This beach is hard to describe. It's simply magnificent. We thought it would be overrun with tourists, but in almost every picture I have, there's no one in them...the water is a beautiful color of green. It's calm, and swim able. Even when swimming neck deep, the water was still crystal clear all the way down and around as far... More

Spent the day on Shoal Beach, after taking the ferry from St. Martin. The beach is exquisite - perfect, talcum-powder soft white sand, and a lovely shade of aqua water. The beach was basically empty, except for a few other toursits eating in the beachside cafes. A very calm way to spend the day. Perfect for daydreaming or castching up... More

Spent a day in Aguilla after catching the ferry from St Martin. Saw a number of incredibly scenic beaches but Shoal Bay was top of the list. Incredibly transparent turquoise waters gently lapping onto perfectly white coral sands. There were a couple of bar/ restaurants but overall was relatively quiet.

Last year this beach had some pretty crazy waves and it was difficult to swim in. This year it was a lot calmer and more easy to swim. The thing about this beach is, not only is it beautiful but there are options to eat as well as chairs to rent. Snorkeling is great. If you are coming here for... More

We took a day trip to Anguilla from St. Maarten. We were staying near Phillipsburg, so took a taxi to Marigot to catch the ferry. Travel time to Marigot, 20-30 minutes ($25 cab ride included tip each way). Ferry's leave every 45-minutes and you need to purchase tickets about 15-minutes in advance. Ticket price is $15 each way, plus the... More

Peak season and still plenty of room on the beach. One of the most beautiful beaches ever. Several nice casual restaurants right on the beach

I spent 10 days walking the beaches twice each day and it made my vacation. It is such a lovely beach and a wonderfully relaxing walk.
