When you go to a beach and all you can hear is a gentile wind and small waves slowly breaking, you have found a caribbean that is fast disapearing. I understand that Sandy Ground is more a night spot but it was nice to see the beach in the light of day. The way I see it is this is... More

We sat on Sandy Ground and watched the day's activities go by - we actually saw a custom boat being launched - what a sight to see . . .all the excitement from the locals who spent the last few months building it. Plenty of places to get food and drinks. During the day it's quite and peaceful, and at... More

The most gentle wave I'll seen on a beach! May be other days are different but when we were there, the wave was very gentle and water was clear and warm. Love the cafe choices along the beach too.

This beach is always calm. There are fish that swim along the shore as you walk the beach. Starfish are seen moving below the water. It's quiet and very beautiful. There is now a little place that rents chairs and non-motorized water activities. The sunsets are a must see from this beach. Can't wait to go back!

Loved walking the beach here, and visiting the shipwreck. If you like collecting sea glass, we found more here than we have anywhere else in our travels. The beach is gorgeous and the restaurants excellent.

We loved the easy snorkeling off both ends of the beach, the shipwrecked boats, and the easygoing feel of Sandy Ground. Because this beach has the customs house for Anguilla it is a bit busier than other beaches on the island, but definitely worth a visit.

On our most recent visit to AXA and Sandy Ground, one of our favorite villages day or night, we were presently surprised to see several new additions. The Sandbar has reopened, and is great. There's a new water sport center with paddle boards, kayaks, hobbies, day charters, etc....called Seapro. And our favorite beach bar in the world, Elvis', just keeps... More

We were lucky to find Johnno's on our first day for Sunday lunch and ended our visit there the following Sunday. Great people, great bay, great places like The Pumphouse, Roy's, Ripples. Beautiful and the place to be in the evening!
