It costs $10 each from Sandy Ground (the leave on the hour) and you pay at the bar when you get there. Look for some guys with a boat by the dock and ask them – they’re probably the ones that will take you out there. There’s a restaurant and a bar on the island and I would recommend going... More

This is a fun destination only reached by boat. Short trip outside Sandy Ground and well worth it. Very cool.

Take the Sandy Island boat out to the beach bar and grill on the little island about a mile or so off shore from Sandy Ground ($10). There are beach chairs and umbrellas out there to while away the morning and afternoon. The food is typical beach bar, but very well prepared and plentiful. The wait staff is very helpful,... More

Sandy Island is a great place to spend the day. If you look online, you see they have a restaurant. Online, the menu is different. They only serve fish. But, they ARE very nice. Also, it is a great place to relax. It is very rocky, but it is very fun for everyone. You SHOULD go!

Great view, lobster and sea food, other options seem average. Call ahead to order. Arrive early -- this small government owned island gets crowded.

The snorkeling was wonderful, but the cost of food and beverages is obnoxiously over the edge at the only option on island, and you are not allowed to bring food or beverage with you.

We were celebrating my bday and I wanted remote and warm! Exactly! We ordered lobster, elegantly served and delicious. The boat ride was fantastic!

This was an easy trip from Sandy Ground on Sandy Island Shuttle. While the shuttle boat is not luxurious by any standard, the crew was competent and the price was fair. We were greeted at Sandy Island by a staff member who arranged our chairs for us and led us to the shack to order. The drinks were excellent and... More

At Sandy Ground, Anguilla you can find one of the boats that go out to Sandy Island for a day trip...once out on the island, simply relax, walk the white sand beach (it won;t take long, its a small island, take a dip, snorkel within the reef areas, collect a shell or two, enjoy drinks and BBQ or simply do... The visit to Sandy Island was one of the highlights of our weeklong sailboat charter in the West Indies. We followed the advice of one of the guys from the charter company and got there around 10 a.m. and we had the island to ourself for snorkeling and lounging. We took off for Prickly Pear Cay about the time boat... More
