After spending 8 days on the island of aguilla, i have nothing but praise to say for the island and its people. Every beach we visited was a made of picturesque white sand overooking goergeous aquamarine water. The island is a dream and nearly everyone we met was not only helpful, but a delight to talk to. Our trip to... more

I would go there again but would definitely NOT order food. The lobster was $75 and the crayfish $55. I would eat somewhere else, and then go there for punch. All this aside, it was very fun and the rum punches were great. I would definitely go there again to drink (or maybe split a chicken meal with someone), but... more

I agree with tuckie from New York -- this place is a tourist trap. The day we went there was a wedding party and we were told there would be no lobster for us!. We said we had a reservation, and when I gave the waitress our name, she said "You were supposed to be here Wednesday". I promptly showed... more

Under an old Seagrape tree, was a tent where two small children slept, we met Eudoxie and Sandra. We had found Scilly Cay... This was 1987. A good friend had taken us to a little dock in Island Harbour, Anguilla where we took a short boat ride to this tiny island covered with conch shells, coral and scrub trees. No... more

Recommended by a local ex-pat. Very rustic, laid back, and just pure enjoyment. Locals and tourist come with children to play in the ocean and enjoy a day in the sun. Dinner is not over rated. Three main entrees, lobster (should order ahead if you want), crayfish (large) and chicken. Great Rum punches. Recommeded for anyone who enjoys something a... more

We were planning a day trip to Anguilla from Puerto RIco. We were originally planning to do the typical expensive lunch at one of the expensive hotels, but after some research, the airport traffic controller suggested we do the Scilly Cay experience, and he was right. What a great afternoon with my wife and my two daughters!!! Great food in... more

Scilly Cay is a blight. The cay itself is little more than a cluster of rocks with a ridiculously small beach in a harbor full of fishing boats, which make the cleanliness of the water somewhat suspect. The snorkeling is abysmal and the location is far from idyllic. Plastic tables and chairs (those horrible white ones you see in front... more

We were recently in Anguilla visiting our friends Andy and Crista (March 2006) and spent a Sunday afternoon at Scilly Cay. My wife and I thought that it was great. The Band was fun, the people were friendly, and the drinks and food were excellent. Out of the many different places that we visited Scilly Cay was one of my... more

People either love or hate this place. The truth probably lies somewhere between the extremes. Are Eudoxie and Sandra wonderful hosts and lots of fun? You betcha. Are the rum punches fabulous and potent (because, as Eudoxie told me, the rum is cheaper than the fruit juice!) and do they inspire those of us who have had more than one... more
