The food was quite good and the presentation was excellent. The service was attentive and quick. I liked the concept of the open kitchen. What particularly impressed me was the way Balinese cooking was being marketed as a distinct cuisine. There is some serious thinking going on behind this enterrpsie and I would not be surprised if restaurants popped up... More

I was not sure what to expect but the day was fantastic. Our lesson did not include the market but started with a delicious breakfast. Heinz is passionate about Balinese food and you get caught up in his enthusiasm and he challenges you to think differently about the way we cook. Our group of ten sat around the preparation area... My boyfriend and I spent a very enjoyable day doing a cooking class and market visit with Bumbu Bali. The market was really interesting and the fish market was amazing - not as smelly as we'd feared! The cooking class itself was really interesting with a focus on cooking techniques as well as the actual recipes. The lunch at the... More

They are very friendly but you don't cook the dishes yourself, we were a group of 8 and there was only one dish prepared as a group. Disappointing

You learn a lot about how to use different spices and this was great for me. Good cooking class and they will give you all the recipe and great information about bali food to take home with. I recommended for everyone.

Had dinner at their restaurant and got curious about Balinese cuisine. We can highly recommend this fantastic cooking class. Well planned and organized from early morning till afternoon, careful instructors, lot of interesting background information. We spent an exciting day with nice people and excellent food.

I dont really enjoy cooking and found the idea of going on a cooking class during honeymoon a bit of a waste of time. However, after participating i have to say i was very wrong. The whole day is 100% worth it. You meet at 6am where you are taken to the food market and given a talk on how... More

This was brilliant! Very relaxed with a mix of hands on and watching. You eat all you make. I loved the trip to the market and all the explanation for everything. I stumbled across this when walking through Ubud and would highly recommend.
