Easily the worst experience of our trip to Bali. Felt awful for the turtles - no animal deserves to live like that. Don't make the same mistake we did, please stay away and don't support animal cruelty.

Besides being quite expensive to get here ($40US per person for a short boat ride, plus an entry fee to the Island which isn't included and not mentioned until you get to the island) this wasn't a highlight of our holiday. The turtles are kept in minimal water and were desperately trying to flap around and move which upset us.... More

I visited Turtle Island with my partner and what I witnessed was really quite distressing. Reading the comments about the excessive boat trip cost is as disheartening as I believe that should be the least of traveler's concerns. Prior to the trip I had been warned about the horrible conditions in which Balinese keep their animals for so-called 'conservation programs'.... More

They said we had to pay for the donation to help preserve the habitant of the animals. I thought a donation means it's not obligate. Well, obviously we have to pay for it... It was like An entrance fee. Then, they dragged the turtle out of water directly so that we can take pictures with it. We didn't take any... More

The ride on the glass bottom boat is a not worth it. You see a few fish and then you get to this turtle island to see a few turtles being raised and you actually have to pay for this. I would advise all to avoid this place even if thrown in free. Among the worst tourist traps I have... More

Our Tour Guide mentioned there’s a turtle island which we might be interested to see. He wasn’t pushy but surely he’d know what it’s like there. He took us to this place called "Bayu Suta Water Sport" (a big hall on the beach) and went to park the van. The owner of the place pulled out a booklet with pictures... More

Attended turtle island with boat trip from nusa Dua beach. Not what I thought it would be (a conservation area where you just looked at turtles) but actually got to hold turtles!!! Dream come true

Nothing special about the island but it was nice to hold a young turtle , Eagle on your shoulder plus a snake after. You'll be able to feed all the turtles (it was awesome!). You'll have a personal photographer and they'll make you see your photos and pay for it. If you don't want it just say NO or they'll... More

Our tour started with a trip to Turtle "island" via a glass bottomed boat (If you can even call it that!) There was two small clear sections on the floor of the boat, not that you could see anything out of them. Then we arrived at the so-called "island" we were given a 10 minute tour of the animals there,... More

Agree with all the others. Had I had a chance to do my research for this place I would not have visited. I suspected it might be a tourist sham but hoped for the better. I had booked a snorkel trip and they said for a little more I can visit Turtle Island, so I went. I love turtles, so... More
