To put it simply; DO NOT GO. This place is a tourist trap and an animal prison. False advertisement is an understatement, the brochures showed turtles in their natural habitat, free and beautiful. Reality is this place is haunting. I feel disgusted that we were lured into this exploitation of such amazing creatures. It wasn't until we paid our "... More

Our trip was an add-on activity to snorkelling, so not a lot of thought went into our decision to go. When we got there, we were faced with a collection of shallow water tanks, containing various sizes of turtles. All looked too shallow and overpopulated and only some had running water. Particularly, the Albino turtle tank contained several large specimens... More

Turtle island tour was included in our water sports activities and reached the place by a boat ride. Animals are kept in bad conditions, place is not clean. Volunteers ask for the tip and Photographers will click your photo and will ask 150 k or even more. There is one shop inside the premises, better not to buy anything there.... More

My disabled son and I were here in Dec 14. The staff were fantastic to help my son to board the smallish aluminium dinghy type boat! We were the only 2 on the "tinny" which whipped out quickly into the middle of the bay to feed the fish with about 5 other boats. As we left, after about 3 minutes... More

Have been to Bali several times but not Turtle Island, was planning to go when I next go to Bali in August, but after reading all of the feedbacks I will most certainly not be going there.

This was a huge waste of time and money the conditions these animals live in are atrocious. Birds lizards and turtles are kept in cages so small they can hardly move! Animal cruelty at its finest. DONT GO HERE! I left sad and depressed

We were actually on a fishing charter boat that morning, after seeing a black and white snake and a massive turtle but no fish, they offered to take us to see some more turtles. At this stage we hadn't yet heard of Turtle Island so you could imagine our surprise. I enjoyed getting close and personal with a turtle the... More

The turtles & other animals were constantly picked up by staff & handed to tourists. No one was gentle with the poor animals. The enclosures were too small & I was very upset by the time I left. Even the poor bat was passed from person to person when it should have been sleeping. It should be closed down. Don't... More

Truly horrible place. Cruel, dirty, and plain awful. The animals are mistreated and are clearly suffering.

Animal cruelty at its best. This place should be closed down. If you care about animals at all then go on another tour.
