My senior group tour to Cobbold Gorge last September was a unique and first time experience for everyone. A comfortable 4WD vehicle picked us up from Forsayth Railway station and we drove the 42 kms to our accommodation on the Cobbold Gorge property. The cabins were modern and well appointed for our outback adventure and all the staff were very... More

great spot in the middle of nowhere. We rode our motorbikes across and stayed in the twin accommodation which was lovely. Nice and clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Nice country laid back feel with nice hospitality. Good to see the owners working on the farm! Gorge beautiful. And nice to know not too overrun with us tourists! Well... More

Beautiful Experience - we stayed near by at Finnegan's Rest and had transfers to and from the gorge but you can stay there as well. There is a shop, restaurant and pool on location. The tour through the gorge was amazing and due to the narrowness of the gorge a thoroughly intimate experience. NOTE: there are two stages to the... More

We booked a boundary hut in this dry and parched time and found a blissful paradise. Since when do boundary huts come with infinity pools? So glorious to swim at sunset! Dinner was delightful. We went to see the Gorge, which is simply breathtaking in its geology and formation. The fern gardens fascinated me and of course the laid back... More

We stayed in a boundary hut at the Cobbold Village for 3 nights, mainly to see the gorge itself. The tour was excellent with our knowledgeable guide Stephen giving the European and indigenous history of the area. The view from the top down into the gorge was stunning and the boat trip was equally fascinating. The wonderful thing about gorges... More

Stayed in Georgetown caravan park & drove the 90 k/m to the resort half dirt road but you can camp there if you wish. The place was fantastic & the tour 10 out of 10. Stephen our guide was excellent & the gorge itself was very special & different to others we have seen in other states. Take your bathers... More

We drove to the gorge from Mt Surprise via Georgetown. A 2 1/2 drive so allow time as we arrived just as the tour was ready to depart. It is on private land so tour only. A short ride on a small off road bus to the gorge with commentary, an interesting & relative easy walk above with talks on... More

The tour itself requires that it be provided by one of two accredited tour organisations, because the Gorge was discovered as recently as 1991 and lacks almost all safety features, like railings and fences. However, once you arrive at the Cobbold Gorge's impressively modern tourist complex, you are taken on a large bus over and through dry river beds, twisting,... More
