Cobbold Gorge is at the end of a very rough ride from Forsayth, but it's well worth the trip. The Gorge is beautiful, the tour interesting and the guide informative. The infinity pool was welcomed on a hot day.

We recently spent 3 days at Cobbold Gorge in our camper trailer. The Camp sites were large and shady and close to the immaculate amenities block. We had a powered site and there was even a fire pit with self collection of fire wood available. Our 3 yr old and 7 yr old freely walked around the camp area exploring... More

Has been several years since we went to stay there for a 4 day weekend & had a fabulous time. We own a small business (Fisho NQ) ourselves who deals with tourists daily and recommend Cobbold Gorge always and have never had anything but positive feedback from those who have been & return to thank us as they didn't know... My sister-in-law and I did this attraction in August, Lovely Place, and the staff were 1st class to, on arrival we got an upgrade in our accommodation, it was lovely and clean and had all you needed. The pool was a godsend, our gorge tour guide was called Ian and he was very informative, with the bush tucker etc. The... More

We stayed at Forsayth in a not so good cabin in the caravan park. The trip to Cobbold Gorge took about an hour and on arrival the place is an oasis. The tour consists of walking to the top of the escarpment whilst the guide explains the bush tucker to be found in the area then its down to the... More

We decided to camp out at Cobbold Gorge for three nights. It was very busy and the main camp ground area was full, we were told to camp over by the ensuite section and could have share use of ensuite 3 and 4 which turned out very well. Facilities include beautiful new swimming pool, bar and restaurant. We went on... More

Everything has already been said, however, the hospitality of the staff certainly matches the beautiful scenery. As a North Queenslander, I'm ashamed to say I hadn't even heard of Cobbold Gorge! I stumbled across a sign in Georgetown and made my way there for the one night but ended up staying three nights at an unpowered site. The amenities, meals,... More

This place is an oasis in the outback, about 80 ks from Georgetown, The road from Georgetown is mainly bitumen except for about 10ks, which can be quite rough. The final 45 ks from Forsyth into Cobbold Gorge is all dirt, but is well maintained but you still need to take care. As this is a private property, cattle roam... More

Being FNQ Locals we weren't even aware of Cobbold Gorge until heading off on a road trip to Karumba and friends suggested we visit along the way. About an hour & half drive from Georgetown there is about 14km dirt road on the Georgetown - Fortsayth Road and then 42km of dirt out to the the Gorge Lodge. Road is... More
