While the outside of this church is very simple, the inside is stunning. We spent several minutes enjoying all of the beauty . Very quite and peaceful. Gives you time to think yourself and the people around you. Lovely walk in the port to visit her.

A place to visit in the city, very fancy interiors,a nice atmosphere outside, at our visit there was a wedding ceremony which was very interesting,it is always nice to see traditions and cultural establishments.

It is a complex consisting of multiple buildings. The core is the heavily ornamented church. The premises contain a wide court, a cafe, holy water spring and parking ground. After landing in Mytilene on Lesbos, we went on an excursion to the countryside. Our first stop was a Greek Orthodox Church dedicated to the "Taxiarches", the archangels Michael and Gabriel who are apparently very important figures in the Greek Orthodox religion.
