I have been traveling to the west end of the island since the 1976. Negril has some wonderful places to stay, but Rhodes Hall Plantation has moved to the top of my list. I have traveled a bit and have found that some people hell hole is another's paradise and vise versa, so if you just look at the stars and don't read reviews... well you're probably not reading this. My husband and I just returned from the Rhodes Resort after 9 wonderful days in the best kept property - both onshore and off that I have ever had the pleasure to visit. I stayed 3 nights at Rhodes Hall during ATI, with my 15 yr. old son. The room was really nice and had a loft which he thought was really cool. We went there for a day trip. They offer free picks up from the hotel - so we told our hotel that we were interested in the snorkeling and the crocodile tour and were setup up a 10am pickup. When our boat tour got cancelled, we decided to do a spot of horse riding instead. We organised it through our hotel (The Caves) and it cost us US$70 each.
