This is an easy to visit spot on Anchorage's east side. From the Glen Alps parking lot, we took a short, easy walk to the Anchorage Overlook at sunset. What a spectacular view!! When we read about this attraction, we were concerned that we would be driving up a steep, treacherous road, and that is certainly not the case. It's easily accessible, and a very pleasant drive. Glen Alps is located at the end of a steep road high above southeast Anchorage.  Not near Indian and NOT near Wasilla.  Great spot for day hikes in the mountains behind Anchorage.  Parking lot often full by mid-day.  Don't try parking elsewhere, as you will be ticketed/towed.  The lot isn't patrolled and break-in's have been reported.  But MOST of the...
