Walk to the dunes, walk through the seaside and let go. Perfect place to relax with stunning views from the sunset. You can find a lot of trash due to dirty tourists, but still one of the best beaches in Algarve.

Nice beach for surfers, Huge unpredictable waves and strong wind at our visit, dangerous to swim in the sea. Some plastic garbage floating around, some of it probably left by tourists.

As great as the beach may be, it is surprising nobody has ever mentioned the drive along the cliffs. It is a good dust road accessible to any cars. It is called 'Estrada da Praia'. Since it is part of the national park on the southwestern part of the Algarve, they have arranged board walks all along this scenic road.... More

Simply beautiful - sand dunes and surf leading to incredible walks along the coastline from Bordeira to Amado Beach

You can access this beach from a few different areas. It is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever visited in Europe. After driving around and hunting a few more beaches out, this was by far my favourite. It was so deserted, we even did a spot of skinny dipping! It is wild, with fabulous craggy rocks and cliffs,... Wide wild beach, almost no people. Lots of wind. Great surf. Don´t underestimate the waves and currents. Best access from the street on the cliffs. Bordereira river is shallow and can be crossed easily at most times.

The walk down to the beach is spectacular. Great surf. Walk further down the beach by the rocks to have a beach to yourself.

This is less popular than it's better known cousin Amado and I didn't see any surfers at all but for ordinary beach lovers like me it was heaven. From the main road the car would take you to the hilll top right next to the long board-walk and steps all the way down. Then you'll cross the warm knee- deep... More

Amazing view. No crowd On the downside, if you have kids, it is a bit of a walk between the parking lot and beach, but then, maybe that helps the beach not getting crowded

This is the wilder side of Portugal, in a National Park and with several building restrictions, this place is peaceful. After a bit of a clamber down or across to the beach - either way you're going to get a bit wet - you're faced with several miles of beach. It gets more deserted the further you walk, and for...
