I totally forgot to leave a comment about, the hands down, best raft guide I've ever had, Michael Taylor. The crazy rafting experience combine with his amazing smile is the reason I'll be visiting next summer. As a first timer, it was everything I could have asked for. Go Michael!

Pappy was our guide. He made the trip very interesting with some of the local history. The water was very cold so be prepared with long sleeves or pick a nice hot day. I learned a lot about rowing and controlling a raft but it could have been a bit more adventurous for me. Not enough rapids and too much... More

We actually visited in July, 2008. A fun family time! Guide was a hoot and a veteran of the river (thank goodness). My husband and uncle went in one of the big rafts, with the guide telling us what to do and where we were going. My step son, of course went on his own in a solo kayak. It... More

My husband and I had never been white water rafting before. What a wonderful experience. Had an amazing time. Our guide was Ben and he was great. Made the experience even more fun. Looking forward to doing it again, but next time wanting to go down the Ocoee. More adventure with the three and four rapids instead of the two... More

My husband and I had a wonderful time whitewater rafting. Our guide was Pappy and he was fantastic! The guides do a good job of letting you know of safety rules before the trip starts, and Pappy was really fun to ride with. The trip took just under two hours and goes by quickly. Most of the rapids are fairly... More

Family of 5 first time whitewater rafting. The youngest in the group was scared and not sure she wanted to go. Pappy let her sit in the back with him and she felt much more comfortable. Pappy knows the river well and we felt safe in his hands. We were cold but everyone had a great time. The scenery was... More

We called to get info on the Jeep tour and were told that the tour took us on 'backcountry dirt roads'. The following day we took the tour. What a joke. Most of it was on paved highways in the area and the one unpaved road was nothing our Subaru (or a Kia sedan for that matter) could not have... More

Thank you for letting us know about your tour. While it is true we travel public roads on the Jeep Tour we endeavor to take people places they could not find on their own. In addition riding in a Jeep and traveling steep mountain roads is not something everyone is comfortable driving on their own. The scenery, stops, stories and... More

Love, Love, Love, ZIPPIN! This was third zip tour but first in the Smokies. Great views from 13 lines. The first 6 or so are short but the last ones are pretty high and long. The braking on each tour has been different, this one you pretty much brake yourself by your gloved clad hand.

On July 6, 2013 me and three others went down the Nantahala river with Allie (Wildwater Rafting) , as a raft guide. The river was running at three times it's normal flow. Our raft overturned at the last fall (Nantahala Fall) and we were all dumped from the raft into at least 45 mile per hour moving water. Three of... More

On July 6th the water level on the Nantahala was indeed higher than normal. It is true different companies on the river handled the day differently. Since all of Wildwater's rafts are guided we had more staff available and there was a long discussion about rafting Nantahala Falls. All Guests and Guides scouted the Falls and it was made very...
