Seeing it again yesterday made me sad, its area and structures so battered by storms, etc. without obvious funds to maintain all the parts...especially the WWII additions. In twenty more years, without another hurricane, the environs will spring back but the structures will continue to decline without more... More

To see the pictures of Ft. Pickens is one thing. However, to actually see the Fort is quiet different. The age, location and history is wonderful. The area is very well kept, beautiful and clean. A must see if you are in this area.

There were lots of details to this Fort. You could walk into the different rooms or walk up the stairs to look at the scenery.

WOW! What a great surprise! This national park offers so much...history, photo ops, beaches, museum, great snorkeling...fantastic place for families, history/military/civil war buffs...we spent most of our vacation here as it offered so much.

We have visited Ft Pickens many times whenever we have visitors on the island. We always enjoy the morning or afternoon when we visit the fort. It has a lot of history & is fun to roam the halls & outdoor spaces. You can take one of the many guided tours they provide throughout the day or you can self... More

It is a nice attraction for who want to know details of piece of history of U.S. Army . The fort is almost well maintained and has very nice views of the gulf. It is worth value if you already planned to visit the three beach parks allowed with 15 $ entrance fee ( valid for a week). Fort Pickens... More

We took the guided tour and our Ranger was very knowledgeable and genuine. He made our tour enjoyable because of his passion for the history of the fort. It has clean facilities.

We took our granddaughters and they enjoyed looking around in all the rooms and climbing the stairs. We went on a hot day and were surprised at how cool it was.
