This trail is not in the canyon, so probably not as popular as some others, but that just makes it even more appealing and enjoyable. It was a very hot day when we went up, but the trail is well marked, rises at a manageable rate and leads to a magnificent view from the top, over the valley, the traffic... More

The Watchman Trail was my first actual hike in the main part of Zion NP (excluding Kolob canyon). I think it was the perfect start in Zion itself; an easy to moderate hike with a great view at the end. It is fairly steep to climb up to the overlook, but worth the effort (bring your camera). As others have... More

This trail is less popular than the main trails in Zion, but it is definitely worth the climb! At times it might be a bit steep, but the trail is well maintained. As I was almost 5 months pregnant at the time and it was warm, it took a bit longer than usual but it is a moderate trail.

Nice easy trail. Trail is in very good condition with no obstacles on path. You will climb to top cliff area with an excellent view of area. Continue on the path which is well marked and circle back down. Saw some deer in area.

The trail happens most of the time under the sun and has only a few shades to rest. The trail is about 1.5 hrs, it is constantly going up with a moderate slope. It is worth doing it. The final view is very nice. I did it with my family including my 13 year old daughter.

We did this trail with Ranger Andrea. She was great: we learned so much about Zion from her. My husband is still telling people about Ant Lions. We did the optional .4 mile loop at the end of the trail, which was worth it. Thanks to Ranger Andrea for a memorable hike-hope to see you in Canada:)

This hike is not up the main canyon, so not as busy as many others. The moderate trail rating is accurate, but almost all of the hike is sunny so earlier morning is best for this one. Be sure to bring water! Nice place for a picnic at the top.

Like everyone says this steep but views are great and its just not that long a hike so well worth fitting in somewhere between the more frequented trails. Bring water it can get hot.

We Just had a few hours of sunlight left, and took this hike. Stunning views of the park and the red rocks combined with the Green trees was just great! Also we saw, deers, lizards and a small snake during the hike.

We wanted a trail slightly challenging with less traffic, this was it! After facing Manhattan type crowds the day before in the Narrows, this was refreshing, moderate exertion yet incredible views at the top of Zion Valley. The trail winds its way up in a non terrifying way as well, with plenty of cactus and colourful vegetation along the way,... More
