The trail happens most of the time under the sun and has only a few shades to rest. The trail is about 1.5 hrs, it is constantly going up with a moderate slope. It is worth doing it. The final view is very nice. I did it with my family including my 13 year old daughter.

We did this trail with Ranger Andrea. She was great: we learned so much about Zion from her. My husband is still telling people about Ant Lions. We did the optional .4 mile loop at the end of the trail, which was worth it. Thanks to Ranger Andrea for a memorable hike-hope to see you in Canada:)

This hike is not up the main canyon, so not as busy as many others. The moderate trail rating is accurate, but almost all of the hike is sunny so earlier morning is best for this one. Be sure to bring water! Nice place for a picnic at the top.

Like everyone says this steep but views are great and its just not that long a hike so well worth fitting in somewhere between the more frequented trails. Bring water it can get hot.

We Just had a few hours of sunlight left, and took this hike. Stunning views of the park and the red rocks combined with the Green trees was just great! Also we saw, deers, lizards and a small snake during the hike.

We wanted a trail slightly challenging with less traffic, this was it! After facing Manhattan type crowds the day before in the Narrows, this was refreshing, moderate exertion yet incredible views at the top of Zion Valley. The trail winds its way up in a non terrifying way as well, with plenty of cactus and colourful vegetation along the way,... More

We really enjoyed this trail. It was pretty quiet and the views as you climb are great. It's relatively steep, but wide enough and the ground is firm, so I would say most people could complete this trail (moderate is a fair grading). We went in the morning when much of it was in the shade.

This trail is described as a moderate hike on the Zion Park map. I think its a bit more strenuous than moderate due to the quick gain in elevation that seems to go on forever. A good portion of the climb is exposed to the sun so if it is sunny out, I highly suggest you bring plenty of water,... More

Glad we didn't miss this walk. Get a short way from the car park and climb out of the masses! Lovely climb up but not sure if it is that much of an amazing view. Having said that was quiet at the top ( only passed about 8 people on the way up). Goes without saying but take plenty of... More

This was our first trail once we got settled at Zion. It was pretty steep in many places but if you go all the way to the loop trail, you'll be rewarded with a beautiful view of the southern end of Zion Canyon & Springdale. It's a great spot to take pix with the canyon in the background.
