Came up here on a day trip from Las Vegas. We don't do a lot of gambling so we normally take day trips around the area. We debated as to where to go and finally decided to come here. Great decision. Quick and easy drive from Las Vegas. $25 entrance fee is worth it considering the views and spectacular drive... More

This was a spot for some breath taking views. The sunset was beautiful. The scenic drive had plenty of parking spots so you could pull over to enjoy the scenary and take photos. The only negative is it was a little cold in Dec. I would recommend going when it was warmer so you could enjoy a hike.

This may well have been THE most scenic run I've ever taken. The breathtaking views made it hard to concentrate on the road ahead. Although there was some car traffic on the road (the cars are allowed to travel the length of the road until April or May, when the shuttle service begins), it wasn't overly dangerous or crowded. Keep... More

Gorgeous scenery, even in winter. We didn't have as much time as we would have liked so did this drive first and stopped on the way back to walk a little and just enjoy the views. Saw mule deer and turkeys, who were very cooperative for photo ops. Majestic and awe-inspiring views all around you, the river clear and sparkling... More

we thought this was just another canyon headed back to Vegas from northern Arizona. We were amazed at the sheer size of this place and the stunning strength of these huge rock walls/mountains. The tunnel is a wow drive. we stopped and walked a few trails by the Zion lodge. we spend 4 hrs in there, didnt see more than... More

Winter is a great time to explore. Lots of turnouts on the road for photo ops and access to trails. Take it slow and take advantage of the turnouts. In the summer they have trams that run continuously, so you can leave the car at the visitor's center. Unfortunately the museum was closed when we were there.

Being awed by those incredible canyon walls, particularly Court of the Patriarchs is humbling every time.

Mix of the red and white rocks, some smooth, some with sharp edges, with tall pine trees and white smow in some places. You just dont want to leave this place.
