Go early- if only to avoid the crowds of people trying to get up when you are descending. Hike is strenuous and exhilarating and completely worth it! Not for the faint at heart, this is not easy but if you take your time, watch your steps it is very doable. Need to be in pretty good shape and if you... More

We underestimated how much time this hike consumed out of our day. Since this was a day trip from Vegas, we only had 7+ hours at the park and most of our time was spent here. Was it worth it? Sure. But if you're tight on time, you may want to take a pass so you can enjoy other aspects... More

Agree with the reviewer who said it is not as scary as the literature would have you believe. We have been on far sketchier trails. The rock is good if you are wearing appropriate footwear ( hiking boots). go early and take your time and you will be fine. Be advised that after the junction with the rest rim trail... More

I just hiked Angel's Landing for my second time last weekend. The reward from getting up here is stunning 360 degree views of Zion Canyon. I can honestly say I don't think it's as scary or treacherous as everybody makes it sound (I just read a Los Angeles Times article about how dangerous it is and should be regulated. I... More

Reviewers have captured the essence of the first part of this hike so I won't be redundant, however I have a tip for those of you who don't wish to risk your life on the last .5 miles (warning signs await you telling of the folks that have died on this last leg). For in shape hikers who aren't into... More

I would really recommend this walk, the view from the top is incredible, but when we were there we saw a lot of people who didn't seem to take the warnings that seriously and were wearing inappropriate shoes. It's really not for the faint of heart or those who are scared of heights - it's also quite a relentless walk... More

This is a great hike in Zion as I'm sure you have read. Starts easy enough but builds to some steep switchbacks. Just to add something unique (hopefully) for those of you that are afraid of heights. There is a point about 2 miles in where the paved path starts to switch back and forth and reaches a crescendo around... More

Went up with my 16 yo son. A great hike and a must for the capable. Some guidelines: - Not for those afraid of heights - Come early to avoid crowds - When you go up in the morning, the Sun is in front of you during the last part of the climb up, so less suitable for taking photos... More

It's like going to Seattle and not going to the top of the Space Needle. Just do it. It's fun to go all the way to the top. Holding onto chains, etc . . The park has done a great job to make the trail as safe as possible. Buttttt, the view after "Walters Wiggles" is a classic view of... More

Challenging hike, but doable for most if you take your time. Crowds were bad in the afternoon, including plenty of hikers that didn't look like they were taking seriously the dangerous elements of the upper parts of this hike. Beautiful view and well-maintained trail. Must-do!
