I too was uneasy about the shuttle....no more. Great way to travel through Zion -- very well organized, on time, convenient, easy, informative....oh yeah, way to go Nat'l Park Service! more

When I heard we had to leave the cars and take the shuttles, I was disgruntled. Then I rode one. Things I love about the Zion shuttle: They are timely The drivers are full of fascinating facts You can get where you want to go And they warn you about heights, slippery trails, and what time to get off the... more

Not only is the recorded message clear and informative, drivers will often stop to point out wild turkeys, mule deer, or a hidden waterfall. It takes 80 minutes round trip if you don't get off. But if you do to take a hike, you only need to wait about 7 minutes for the next bus. And you can go either... more

More National parks should have this type of frequent and efficient mode of travel to see a park. The recorded spiel is informative and well done. more

The shuttle in Zion National Park was so easy to navigate...we stopped at each and every stop, taking hikes to various spots, getting back on for the next stop. The park was more crowded than we expected it to be in early fall and lodging reservations should be made ahead of time, but there was always room on the shuttles.... more

After doing a lot of driving around Utah, the chance to see some sights whilst being driven around is a refreshing one, even before the chance to hike around the park. The shuttles are frequent, and (mostly) have plenty of room. Unlike the Grand Canyon shuttles they use the same stops in both directions, so there is no confusion there.... more

Great way to save congestion and polution while instructing visitors about the area. The shuttle brings visitors from one end to the other of the park while telling visitors about the points of interest at each location. If your bus does not "talk" while you ride, get off and take the next one. Very informative and some drivers even amusing! more

The shuttle is great idea! Bring your bike on the shuttle to the lodge and the rest of the riding is easy up or down the canyon. There are places to lock your bike, so you can hike. There are no cars or distracted drivers to worry about on the road in the summer. more

Out of all the National Parks we have visited in Utah (and the country) Zion was a true pleasure. The mandatory shuttle is wonderful as it keeps the park quiet, serene and free from vehichle noise and congestion. Each shuttle is two attached buses providing lots of room. The shuttle does get busier as it gets later in the day,... more
