We paid 280.00 for 7 family members to take the boat from Kabetogama visitors center to Kettle Falls. We were supposed to have 2 hours on the island . We went immediately to the restaurant after the 2 hour long boat ride. Our order was taken immediately ,we sat in the restaurant for one hour and forty five minutes!!! When... More

I spent the night at the Woodenfrog campground and awoke before sunrise to watch the beauty of nature unfold as I sat behind the CCC dinning house next to the boat launch. This Voyageurs National Park entrance offers a little more to do and see without a boat. With glimpses of rocky shorelines and nature and wildlife all around you.... More

I have been going up to Kab for 60 years. My husband and I go to Sandy Point Lodge and are always treated like family. Fishing is great and there is always something to do.

We were lucky enough to get on one of the last tours of the season. This is the best way to truly experience Kabetogama. Our captain Scott was friendly and his knowledge of the water was obvious. Ranger Miranda was informative and very pleasant as well. Saw many eagles, eagle nests, and beautiful scenery. The stop at Kettle Falls was... More

We went to the Voyageurs National Park visitor center here and did a one hour hike. Would love to take the Kettle Falls ranger led boat tour next year. Friendly & informative staff at the Kabetogama visitor center.

It was perfect. We traveled when we wanted, hiked, swam and fished. We could go anywhere or dock and take our fishing boat out to island hop.

Accessible by boat only, this 218,000 acre National Park in the northernmost reaches of Minnesota is 260 miles north of the Twin Cities and is the closest most people will ever experience (outside of the "canoe only" BWCA) to a true northern wilderness experience. Over one hundred individual camp sites on islands and peninsulas greet water born visitors. Tall pines,... More

We visited Voyageurs National Park in August and took the Hoist Bay Cruise. It was outstanding. A Park Ranger on board narrated the entire trip and found wildlife - deer, bald eagles, other birds. Binoculars are provided. The lake is beautiful. I highly recommend this trip, as well as the North Canoe Voyage, where you learn how to paddle a... More
