The wait staff were great and the food arrived quickly. Food was also good. Nearby gift shop was a welcome surprise.

Basic service and food menu , but good and price is reasonable. Does not really have a good panoramic view of the valley due to obstructing trees but has a walking trail below.

We honeymooned here 31 years ago. We have always stayed in a cabin. We kept moving up to a bigger one as our family grew. This trip with just the two of us it was back to a smaller cabin room.

easy access to great hikes, good facilities, friendly staff. Food offered was good, could chip away at budget if not careful.

Check-in was a HORRIBLE experience. Took over 30 minutes to process even after pre-check-in / registration. Young, inexperienced local staffers not up to the task even in off-peak season. “Preferred Room” would be considered an “average” room in other locations — however, these are best offered in Shenandoah. Maids/cleaning staff have done great job of prepping and cleaning rooms. However,... More

Skyland was a bit expensive for the accommodations. I would probably have given it a higher review if it wasn't $150 for a lodge room. If you do book, ask for a second floor room as we had to go upstairs for the view (lots of trees). The wifi was only available in the lobby of the restaurant. My husband... More

We love staying at Skyland Resort. The rooms are simple but clean. The food in the dining room is wonderful. The cool summer nights are so lovely! Shenandoah National Park is great for children as there are my ranger programs and simple hikes for the little ones. There is a nice large playground area at Skyland that is just perfect... More

I've hiked through here on the Appalachian Trail or several of the other smaller trails, and Skyland is the perfect place to get lunch if you've got some time to sit and enjoy. Or, if you're driving the Skyline Drive and want some good food with a great overlook, Skyland's great too. The blackberry pie is delicious!
