This Center is well managed and focused on guests to the Park. The Rangers...combined Forest Service and NPS...rendered outstanding advice on where and when to visit Kings Canyon NP sights. They provided maps and personal service that resulted in fantastic photographs, fun hikes and phenomonal animal sightings. Congrats to the pros of America's Forest and National Parks Services for making... More

The visitor's center has some informative displays about the sequoias as well as up to date information about road closings, hikes, and things to do in the Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Park. Park rangers are available to answer questions and here is also a small gift shop along with restrooms. A short movie introduces the sequoias and the park.

Ok be prepared for lots of driving down windy roads and being very remote and enjoy the most stunning scenery and natural beauty you can imagine! This whole area is amazing and worth exploring, the visitor centre is open all year and can give lots of information on trails and roads that are open. Be aware that large areas in... More

Has all the needed facilities for filling up your stocks, also offers accommodation and a visitor center with adequate information. One of the few places up there, where you have internet connection.

Roaring river falls is a short hike from the parking area, and if you can visit in the spring when the river is realy going it is wonderful. but even in the early fall it is worth the short hike to the falls. When it is hot the spray from the falls will keep you cool.
