The park is beautiful and the resturant was good but, what made the difference was the sales lady (Joanne) at the gift shop not only was she helpful with items in the gift shop but she made me feel welcomed. Thanks Joanne!

Stopped in the gift shop while having breakfest and has soon as I got in (Joanne) helped me look for some cute things in the gift shop for my little girl...She was really nice and welcomed us in. Thank you again (Joanne) will stop back in when we come back!!!!
The employees at the visitor center are really helpful. The gift shop has many unique things, and the employee on duty (joanne) really helped us find some beautiful candles to take home. A real lovely lady:)
I was a little apprehensive about the price of the restaurant but believe me, it is well worth the money! For $16, you got two Big pork loin meddalions with a lemon, cherry glaze, spaetzle and a veggie medley. I was not able to eat it all. We also got 3 crabcakes(nice size) with a sun dried tomato and ginger...

Good information and displays, could have been more interactive. It is helpful to stop and learn a bit more about the park. Also has a good gift shop.
Stopped at Grant Grove Visitor center to ask about trail conditions in Redwood Canyon and were impressed with helpful, professional and friendly assistance provided by Ranger on duty. Bathrooms were clean and warm!
Nice facility and friendly staff that tells the story of the parks and Kings Canyon. Thank God they didn't get to dam this one! The General Grant Tree entrance is just 1/4 mile north of the center.
Nice gift shop, great exhibits, good movie, all for free!. Really shows you a lot about Kings Canyon National Park. The Rangers are well informed, warm and helpful. Get a map of the close-by campgrounds for free.
The park service pulled a lot of volunteers in for the Labor day weekend. And surprisingly, they were well trained and we didn't have to wait long for the answers we needed. Lines even for the mens room but it was a busy weekend.
There was a bear near the center so be educated in how to deal with them...

and gift shop. The restaurant here was great. We had breakfast here. Wish we had been able to get into the Muir Lodge.
