The falls are worth the short, but sometimes steep hike. There is a great viewing area and the trail continues on up the river. The sound itself is mesmerizing! The route to the trailhead is not well marked though. When you exit at Grand Lake, be sure to stay to the left at the intersection and continue back a couple... More

This is a short trail, and a pretty walk. The falls are pretty impressive, though they don't feel very natural with the viewpoints and steps and such. Go past the falls a bit to pretty meadows backed by snow-capped mountains. You may see moose around here.

Must see waterfall. A little harder to get to for someone who has trouble with stairs but well worth it. Go a little further and there is more beautiful areas above the waterfall. Short distance to see the beautiful falls. Watch for deer while you are headed up we saw 3 close to the path in the beginning of the... More

3/10 of a mile to the cataract gets you in the mood for the rest of Rocky Mountain National Park. Easy walk and lots of picture taking. Don't miss the meadow another 1/2 mile or so up the trail - heading straight back to the parking lot would be a rookie mistake!

This is a hike everyone should do when on the west side of RMNP. Even if you are an experienced hiker this short .3 mile hike has lots of trees and great views of a really nice waterfall. If you keep hiking above the falls you can go on a longer hike. This is perfect for people with children that... More

We!ve hikes to Adams Fall twice. It's a short hike from the trailhead (car park). It seems easy for kids as we see plenty of young families on the trail. I would say this is a good hike for someone that just wants to be out for a bit.

This is on the western side of the rockies near Grand Lake. It was a relatively easy hike through some very pretty forest with a stream running through it. The falls and surrounding area and the trail itself are worth the trip, although the falls is not that big. In addition, on the west side of the rockies you are... More

We really enjoyed this hike, which I called a hard walk as it was short, easy, but with a bit of rise. My three year old daughter all the way up to my wife's parents found it pretty easy. It was only about a half mile each way (forgive me if I am off on that one) which made for... More

Took our 8 and 11 year old kids on this hike and had a blast. The trail is well maintained and although there we saw other folks, it was not crowded and we had much time and space to ourselves to enjoy the beauty. Hike up past the waterfall a ways to see beautiful, quiet, clear watered creek and a... More

A nice short hike to a pleasant views of the falls...although you could hike further it was just enough for these "older" folks to enjoy on an afternoon to make up for the ice cream cone later on in town.
