We visit Sol Duc Hot Springs at least once each summer, and after our dip in the pool and picnic lunch we drive to the end of the road and hike out to Sol Duc Falls. The trail is relatively level until the short downhill to cross the bridge. We're too old and feeble to hike any further, so we... More

Walk down to this waterfall and look over the edge to see the blasting waters and mist flying upwards in circles as the rain forest canopy whispers its secrets...

This hike an easy hike with a very rewarding waterfalls. The hike towards the falls is beautiful with moss covered trees. There are benches at the falls where you can sit in amazement of what's in front of you. Another enchanting place in Olympic National Park. It's about a 20 minute drive from when you turn from the highway.

A 14 mile road along a beautiful river and forest land takes you to the falls. An easy 0.75 mile trail leads to the falls.

We stayed in the RV park at Sol Duc Hot springs and took an early morning hike to the Falls, it was wonderful. The morning sun was warming up the ground and creating a mist which made it even more magical and surreal, plus there were few other people around at that time, so quiet and mystical ! The walk... Sol Duc Falls was my favorite waterfalls, we visited three waterfalls in one day. I enjoyed the easy walk to the falls and the waterfalls itself was beautiful.

The falls are one of a kind. They are one of the most beautiful falls in the Olympic National Park, a must see.

This was the best trail hike we had done around the Park. On the way in we get to visit the Chute to see a couple of salmon moving up. Next the trail walk into the fall was about a half hour and you do see some nice forest growth and the fall area was well maintained.

Made a wrong turn and ended up in the vicinity so took this short hike. Very wide and easy trail that has some steep places at the end.

My husband and I did the loop trail starting and ending at the resort. The forest scenery was beautiful and the falls were definitely worth the walk. The round-trip is about 6 miles and all fairly flat. I believe there is also an option for a shorter walk from a parking area closer to the falls.
