If you are visiting or staying at the Sol Duc Resort, you will find a walk to the Falls well worthwhile. I usually drive up the trailhead, and then enjoy a relatively easy walk from there to the Falls, but it is also possible to walk from the Resort to the trailhead, then to the Falls and then back to... We had lunch at the Cafe Garden Restaurant in Port Angeles and noticed one of the photos on the wall. The waitress told us that it was Sol Duc Falls and she pointed out on our Olympic National Park map how to get there. From 101 West, take the turn to Sol Duc Hot Springs. The trail head to Sol... Even in the winter, their place is incredible. a gorgeous mossy-tree, rainforesty hike!!! We stumbled across a smaller fall than the actual sol duc falls before we got there, and we thought that was it haha but then we kept walking another 5-10 mins and came across the real sol due falls! there's a parking lot, bathrooms, and an easy... I really liked these falls, even more than marymere falls (although the hike to marymere falls was more scenic). If you are running short on time, I would recommend these falls over marymere falls. I liked them better because, even though the marymere falls were taller/higher, I just loved the loud sound of the falling water. Also, there were more... More

The falls are beautiful, the access is very easy - hardly a "hike" more of a saunter. Well cared for trail makes it easy with kids.

Quick hike to the falls. The heavy rain for the past four days made the falls very full. Mushrooms were popping up everywhere. Loved it!

This is a relatively easy forest trail hike, about a 1/2 hour long, with a small amount of up and down hills. The waterfalls at the end made it worthwhile for us. They are at the trail level, so you look down on the fall and into the chasm they have dug out. The forest is beautiful, with lots of... More

A must see. A short hike to these amazingly large, always flowing falls. Great walk thru the lovely vegetation. Really large loud rushing water. Two falls - great photo opts.

We were disappointed by the fact that is was more of a lido than what we imagined i.e. a hot spring, surrounded by nature and natural rocks! The pools were of various sizes and looked like swimming pools with the usual painted blue? We didn't bother to try them.

There are thousands of such falls in the country. In close proximity to the hot springs. There is a short trail to the falls
