Nice 3-mile hike from Sol Duc Hot Springs to the Falls. Don't bring food with you, though -- we saw a mama bear and cubs alongside the trail. We joined another group of hikers to make more noise so the bears wouldn't bother us, and they didn't. Once we got to the Falls, we were very happy we went all... More

If you have the opportunity, this is a great hike through some beautiful rain forest. There are 2 options for the hike - you can start at the campground and it's about 3 +/- miles one way, or if you drive to the end of the Sol Duc Road (the one you came in on) you'll find a very large... More

Sol Duc Falls; which is located inside of Olympic National Park, WA is but one of the many beautiful, natural attractions inside this park. We spent the better part of a week here, two days at one end, and here more on a beach at the opposite end of this park. Actually hope to return there again, time, and health... More

What a lovely, easy hike with a big payoff! The falls are dramatic with beautiful rain forest hike to get there. The hike is mostly flat with barely any grade. It is just over 1.5 round trip. Go and enjoy!

While staying at the nearby Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort & Campgrounds, we decided to venture out on this hike after breakfast and before our afternoon soak in the hot springs. The well groomed trail among the lush, beautiful forest made for a spectacular, short and easy hike for our family that included three children - ages 7, 8 &... More

We enjoyed this waterfall; however, we live near the Columbia River Gorge, so waterfalls are something we can access easily. Of all of the things to do while driving around the Peninsula, it was not my favorite, as we have scenery like this near home. However, it was pleasant to drive around the gorgeous Lake Crescent at sunset on the... More

We were hiking this and thought we found the waterfall already, but we kept going and then found the true Sol Duc Falls. We were the only ones there and it was bigger than I expected. The trail is easy and well taken care of. Will go back!

Though it was a long drive off the highway, the hike to the Sol Duc Falls was lovely and certainly worth the drive to get there! Hiking through the lush forest, across little bridges and a smaller falls, it is a really beautiful area. We visited in May and the falls were spectacular!

Haven't seen this kind of green in years, really rain forest style with the heat and moisture, but worth it for the short trail, really create a scene as in Amazon, with all kinds of bugs though. At the end of the trail appears the big fall, we saw 2 rainbows that day, nice and finally cooler compare with in... More

It's an easy 2 mile round-trip to the Falls and its scenic throughout. There are plenty of moss covered rocks and gushing streams adding to the beauty of the rain forest. You can hear the thunder of the Sol Duc Falls from a distance: we were surprised at the force of the water! We went there on a sunny afternoon... More
