Lots of parking, clean, well maintained and always helpful rangers. Appreciated the station to fill water bottles in the gift shop and the gorgeous look outs. I really appreciate all of the opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to access our gorgeous parks. Many have flat paved trails so even strollers and wheelchairs can enjoy many trails.

If you visit Hurricane Ridge, you don't have to be a mountaineer! There are viewing decks at the VC, and the Rangers are very friendly and helpful in steering you to strolls that are comfortable for you. If you just walk the rims, your views will be super, but there are several other relatively easy, short walks that will also... More

The mountain are so clear from the ridge. The animals can be seen from every trail. Well worth the time it takes to see it.

Hurricane Ridge is spectacular. We were there in Winter and the Snow Shoeing is informative and fun. The Rangers are fantastic!

We love Hurricane Ridge, as our recent review indicates. The Visitor Center is a great place for information (super helpful rangers and staff), get a memento (love my "The mountains are calling and I must go" picture), and get a quick sandwich or drink. And clean bathrooms are always welcome before and after hiking. And you can sit and enjoy... More

Of the two visitor's centers in the Port Angeles area, this one is the one to go to. The first is nice and a good place to get maps for hiking and such, but the views, food, and souvenirs are higher up. Be careful on the drive! Deer are often near or even on the road, and several hang out... More

If you need a place to cool off, this is it. The day in July we visited saw temperatures in the upper 40s at Hurricane Ridge. This park is predominantly a hiking/backpacking park. We only completed a few of the shorter hikes, but they were loaded with beautiful (albeit often cloud-covered) scenery and close encounters with wildlife. I lost count... More

We took a walk with our 4 year old and grandma. It was an easy walk for us all. Beautiful view from the mountains against the views of the ocean. Great visit.

The views are stunning. Within a 10 minute walk from the visitor center we saw deer that were not afraid of humans and posed nicely for pictures! Chipmunks were abundant too and lots of birds. Will come back to do more expansive hiking!
