Staff there was very friendly and helpful. The building is very clean. There is a great outlook area. If there are clouds , be fast with the camera. One minute the shot is there , the next, it's gone

Hurricane Ridge is the highest place in Olympic National Park that you can easily reach by car. In one direction from the easy trails around the area you can see the ocean in one direction and snowcapped mountains in the other. Black-tailed deer are everywhere. As everywhere on the park's easy trails there are lots of informative signs that add... More

We loved it. It was beautiful and loaded with great stuff to buy. We bought T-shirts. They even had a really nice food/snack bar but it was closed. Don't know why they would close it in the middle of the height of the season. Eh.

This was an excellent visitors center with good exhibits, a video, gift shop, and an eatery for getting food at the top of the mountain. There are viewing areas outside that make it easy for everyone to maintain stable footing while they look at the snow-capped mountains in the distance. It was a terrific experience.

Yes, you must stop at the Visitor Center to get a park map. They can also tell you what the visibility is up on Hurricane Ridge. They will have a webcam for you to look at. Good place to buy a park souvenier, also.

Several interpretive programs, clean restroom, nice store, fabulous location. The do serve lunch food though you might avoid the pizza unless you are really hungry. Had heard their were marmots and mountain goats on nearby Hurricane Hill.

Between the movie, the mini museum and stuffed elk on display, the friendliness of the people working there and the background setting, it was a lovely place to get us ready for a lovely adventure in the O.N.P.

The Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center is nicer than the main Visitor Center and has great views. This is a good place to start your tour of the park, talk with rangers, and buy some souvenirs. A recommended stop especially for those who are not able to hike the Hurricane Ridge trail.
